How to ask the GP for a referral letter
I've been given details of an endo who may be able to help me, he's NHS linked but I would see him privately (at least initially). However he requires a GP's referral letter. Any advice on how to ask my NHS GP for this as I've never had an NHS acknowledgement of my Hashi's (my TSH has never been anywhere

I don’t have research but a personal story. My daughter who is 23 contracted Covid last summer and I noticed she was really having a tough time. Went to the doctor was on the way to recovery and then rebounded I noticed she lost close to 30 pounds in three weeks. She started feeling better again but

Is there any link between vaginal dryness and hashimotos
I have struggled with vaginal dryness, dry eyes and dry nasal area for a few years. I drink plenty so it's not dehydration. My doctor put it down to low estrogen and I am currently using vagifem which has helped most of the time. My question is........ Is there a link between hashimotos and these symptoms

TSH is now 0.13 is this ok?
Hey there, Serum TSH level: 0.13 mIU/L Normal range: 0.35 to 4.94 After nearly a year of fighting with my GP over meds amounts and optimal ranges, my TSH is finally below 1 after initially being 8-9. I do feel markedly better at times but still have bad days perhaps due to hashimotos and not

Graves, low TSH low hormones
Hi all, I was hyperthyroid in 2003 treated with thiamazole, Hashimoto's hypothyroid in 2015, in 2018 TSI antibodies went up again, but I was left untreated for neither one thing nor the other. Then I started having these horrible awakenings (adrenaline surges), fatigue, tachycardya… it got better with

Graves disease Auto Immune Diet
Hello again. All has settled with tablets. Thyroid levels are normal again, so my Carbimazole dose has been reduced by half to 5 mg per day. I just wondered if anyone had tried any Thyroid diet plans with success. Not necessarily to lose weight, though I've put nearly a stone on with ATD but more

Biotin in Vitamin B complex supplements
HiI've been talking a vitamin B complex for years, only to realise Biotin affects thyroid bloodworks, I can't believe I never knew! My questions is, do I continue with the complex or just some specific B vitamins? Or just stop taking them, when my thyroid bloods are due? Does Biotin affect all the blood

Thyroid or menopause - which to sort first?
I've just checked the app, and the last of my blood tests are back. I definitely have started perimenopause and as per my last post I have high TPOab, high TSH (7.5 with high ref being 4.26), and lowish T4 (14.2 of a 12—22 range). I have symptoms that overlap the two conditions, but also symptoms that

Supplement help to support thyroid
Hi Thyroid UK Community, I think Berberine, and selenium sounds like it could be beneficial, from what I have researched. There are studies to support that they could be beneficial. Does anyone have thoughts?
