MRI scan results
I have had back issues for many years but in March this flare up seemed different. I finally went private for a consultation which quickly lead to an MRI scan last week. Earlier surrogates of overall survival to speed up new drugs development
there are statisticians (using AI) that are trying to find even earlier predictors to speed up the progress but it seems that progression free survival could already save 2 years for a new drug to be available on the market https://www.pcf.org/news/new-prostate-cancer-foundation-funded-research-to-speed-up-prostate-cancer-clinical-trials-worldwide

RT results look good
After a bout of sepsis from a directed biopsy, 5 weeks of RT and 3 months of Eligard, my tests show undetectable PSA. I'm still dealing with side effects (interrupted sleep, urinary and bowel differences) but happy to report it looks like, for the time being, that my stage 2/3 PC may have been beaten

MRI Scan with Pacemaker
I had a colonoscopy on Monday but they couldn't do a full one as they found a malignant mass. I then had two CT scans and they contacted me yesterday to say they want to operate. However, one of the scans has now revealed I have a lesion on my liver and the hospital want to do a MRI scan. They have

Bronchoscopie advice
Hello everyone I was recently due to have a bronchoscopie but cancelled at the last minute. I was told that I would have a local anesthetic in my nose and that they would be working on my lungs for 15 minutes. The idea of someone playing around in my lungs for 15 minutes whilst I was awake was very

Just a quick question.
Hi everyone and thanks for all your help so far. As the chemo has now stopped working for Martin we are looking for any other options that might be available to give him more time. His MO has organised a liquid biopsy to see if there are any mutations that could be treated, which might help. We

PSA 6 months after RT
Here is a review of a presentationby Dr. Ravi at ASCO 2023, regarding measuring the PSA at 6 months post radiation treatment, for all risk groups. He found that the 6-month post-RT PSA was highly prognostic of 5- and 10-year rates of metastasis free survival (MFS), Overall Survival (OS), and prostate
