First shot of zoladex, got more questions
Good day to all, my father just had a laser turp procedure this monday, then yesterday he had a shot of zoladex, wondering how early might side effects come out? Another concern we have is this; we saw on youtube that the needle is supposed to snap back when the drug is applied properly, unfortunately

Urodynamics
I'm writing on behalf of my husband. Has anyone had experience of a Urodynamic and did the results give the consultant a clear next plan of action? He gets up to pee 3 or 4 times a night and sometimes in the evening and gets pressure in the bladder. Initially a TURP or green light laser op was recommended

Bladder neck contracture
I have a bladder neck contracture that makes urinating difficult I was able to insert catheters with difficulty so I was not terribly concerned about being very far from competent medical care. It is a 4 hour drive to a hospital with a urologist on call and my local very good primary care doctor told

After the BCR and the ADT vacation – All the tests results are in – it's curtain time - what comes next – what to do next ?
A quick background review … Started out as 'I can't pee ! - a TOTAL urinary blockage. Dateline March break- 2017. Spent 4 months in and out of emergency wards with out of control UTI's, a catheter for 4 months (which I was taking care of with NO CLUE as to how to manage it) and no urologist or

Post-TURP: Catheter in for how long?
Hi All, Just had a TURP and looking very forward to having my catheter removed. Just curious what the typical amount of days after surgery is for removal, based on your experiences. Also, any advice on what to do or not do after it is removed? Thanks brothers!

Your experience with zoladex or eligard?
Hello to all, am new here, would like to ask your experience with zoladex or eligard? And which one has less side effects? My father will undergo bone scan to determine if he needs hormone treatment or not, if he is clean then he will undergo just laser turp, thank you very much

Newly Diagnosed Prostate Cancer. Gleason score 9, PSA 1.4 at age 58.
SO glad to have found this Forum! I guess I have a rare form of PC that does not report PSA. This summer started having problems peeing, like blocked at times. Google told me it was BPH and started taking some natural supplements. 45 days later finally called Teledoc, and was put on Flomax.

Unable to go to bathroom
Unable to go to bathroom at all unless with catheter or self cath (been this way for 2.5 months). Started with having turp. Doctors say prostrate is too enlarged and removing it is not an option. Has anyone experienced this and if so what helped. This is miserable. I’m curious if chemo shrinks it if

Wishing everyone a better 2021
Hi everyone, I wish everyone a wonderful 2021 and hope all our PSA's reduce or at least go down next year. For me, the COVID-19 2020 has been a good opportunity to get my APCa treatments out of the way. 12 months ago I prepared to go in for my prostate biopsy and TURP. I went in on 24 Dec 19 and

Anal sex after TURP surgery
I had TURP surgery in June, the doctor removed 1 1/2 times the size of a golf ball of my prostate he said. Which is a huge amount. I’m 60 years old and have used toys with electrostim etc. couple questions 1: Did the electrical stimulation cause the prostate to become this large or was I just predisposed

PAIN 30 DAYS POST TURP
I had a Turp procedure about a month ago. I was bleeding lightly for about 3 weeks, that finally stopped. However, I'm still getting pain when I urinate. As far as I know I do not have cancer, but I had a pretty large prostate (125 ml). The doctor wanted to do the procedure because i was being hospitalized

Want to learn about lupron and casodex
I have been doing watchful waiting for 15 years. My Urologist did a TURP operation and the pathology said gleason 3/5. My Doc wants me to do Casodex to start. I have read that any kind of T deprivation can cause weight gain, man boobs, lethargy and heart problems. I have always been a skinny hyper active

Zytiga users, How much prednisolone do you take?
My father is Gleason 9. Psa 292 at diagnosis. Following orcidectomy and TURP, he's on zytiga plus prednisolone since August 2019. Last week, scary symptoms of low sodium made us rush to the Emergency room. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, how much prednisolone are you taking with your zytiga

Bladder contracture Options?
As a result of PC treatment and a TURP (after radiation, not advised) to correct a brutal catheterization I now have extreme difficulty urinating and at this time can not even get a catheter into my bladder. I have straight caths arriving later today and hope to be able to get one of them to work since

Recommendation for my dad's prostate cancer treatment
My dad is 80 years old with a cardiac history. He is taking medications for hypertension, diabetes and neurological disorders. During the TURP done recently he was diagnosed with tumour in the prostrate. Pathology indicated a Gleason score of 9. The pet scan has not shown any metastasis. Uro-oncologist
