Does sex hurt after TURP?
Hi all, I had a TURP for what my urologist thought was BPH back in late Feb. Pathology showed prostate CA Gleason 9. I'm finally almost over the abdominal/pelvic pain from the surgery. I have ED because of the Lupron and Zytiga, and my oncologist gave me a prescription for Cialis. Well, we tried it

Introduction
My husband had prostate cancer, Gleason9-10, after being on "watchful waiting"-i.e. waiting but no watching. ;-( (At UCLA) He had local spread by then. He had had 3 TURPS years ago for BPH but not cancer, so he couldn't have more surgery at the time of CA diagnosis.; He was treated by Chris with 5 days

Positive APC Treatment
Just a positive 4 year report on my health. Diagnosed in March of 2016 with a couple of Gleason 9's and 7's and clean bone scan. Immediately began Lupron for 3 1/2 years with 6 month doses. Had 40 radiation treatments in July, August and September. As a regular daily visitor to LA Fitness, my worst side

Found cancer by TURP
My husband of 40plus years had a TURP performed on him in Dec 2019. We had already suspected cancer and he was told he has aggressive prostate cancer, Gleason score 9. He is 91 and the Dr thinks Lupron every 3 months is how he should treat the cancer. He has given him 2 to 5 years because of his age

Everything about Prostate Cancer
I’m a care giver for my dad. He is 80. He has always been healthy and workout. No previous diseases or illness before this. He started with not being able to urinate back in November, which landed him in the ER. They put in a Foley catheter and prescribed (Flomax)(tamsulosin) daily pill to help

All prostate cancer questions?
1. Has anyone ever had TURP surgery to help with urinating issues due to prostate cancer? If yes can you share your experience? Has anyone had grest success from it, than start having issues months after? Do you continue taking taking Flomax, if the TURP was a success? 2. Has anyone experienced nausea

Needing Advice
Hey guys, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. To give you some background, my dad was diagnosed with stage IVb prostate cancer/Gleason 9 in October 2018. Prostatectomy not an option for local and peritoneal Mets at that time. Underwent 6 rounds of taxotere, responded SO well with minimal side effects

My husband experiences pain and some blood spots in his urine after long walks. Im amazed at how some of the warriors here can still run when my husband cant even do long walks. Small Cell Experience…
Hope you’re all enjoying your Saturday. Been 11 months since last Lupron shot. Vacation feels great, however, tissue from recent TURP showed small cell cancer. Here’s a summary of past couple of years, and some notes from Dana Farber visit yesterday: 2-2018 local and low vol nodal recurrence. 7-2018

Introducing me - Jason
I got the news over the phone from my doctor’s office December 2nd. Considering how much sooner my husband got his results (we had biopsies on the same day with the same doctor) about a week before me. I moved to Pittsburgh PA so I could marry the man I love, our 5th anniversary will be on Feb 16th.

Has there been a clinical study on Prostatic Artery Embolization and the impact it may or may not have on PCa?
This procedure has been around for quite some time for BPH, specifically targeting patients that have large prostates or patients that balk at other procedures like TURP, Urolift, etc. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/treatment-tests-and-therapies/prostatic-artery-embolization If cancer requires

TURP alternative for BPH
I have BPH and eurology is not an option due to the size of the prostate. I’m in mid 50s otherwise good health. I’ve been told TURP is the only way to go. Does anyone know of any alternative to the TURP which seems to have mixed results? Thanks

Benign prostatic hyperplasia and Rezum treatment of the medium lobe
I have Benign prostatic hyperplasia and the biggest problem is the enlarged medium lobe...unrelated to the prostate cancer as evident by cystoscopy results. Does anyone have any experience in choosing the TURP procedure or Rezum and treatment on the medium lobe.

Urethral Strictures...TURP/PCa/Proton
Does anyone in our group have a experience with recurring urethral strictures which are a result of a TURP last August and proton beam radiation in the winter? I am getting these strictures now for third time since this all began. For past 4 months I have used catheter once a week for dilation purposes
