Prostate Surgery
Anyone go through prostate surgery. I had TURP 3 months ago and it was pretty rough. I'm pretty much healed up now, but I still have to take the Flomax.

For those of you still working with advanced PCa, and on ADT and Radiation. Did you still work a full schedule?
Looking for some guidance. Advanced High Risk PCa, Gleason 9. Had Turp for Quality of life, but still having incontinent issues. Currently on Lupron, Abiraterone, Prednisone with Radiation to start in 2 weeks. I am still working but need lots of time for appointments every week and radiation has not

Drips, Drops & Diapers post TURP with metastasised PCa and Radiation to begin in a month
Since my TURP about 7 weeks ago, I have had daily incontinence, no urgency issues, just "happens". I have of course resorted to pads, but going through several a day. I expect it will get worse with Radiation. It is a mix of stress incontinence, sneeze, caught, laugh, but other times just leaks with

Advice on incontinent overnight products? Also, TURP experience?
Hey, Can anyone recommend a preferred overnight product (preferably not the full ‘diaper’ depends type…so hot) for my husband? He’s tried several of the pads and is having leaking problems. He’s stage 4 several Mets and has had urinary problems since diagnosis in March. May be a TURP in his near future

Is a block semen tube a risk?
I've had a TURP and a following stricture Op as a result. Now my flow is good. But some time after the stricture Op I started getting painful ejaculations (not I have had a vasectomy 40 yrs ago). Now there is no discharge of semen at all and even though I have or had reverse ejaculation it now does not

No one will believe this
I have had difficult urinating for years. I have posted about catheter horrors and about finally finding one that works, sort of. I believe I have scar tissue at my bladder neck because that is where the cath encounters difficult in insertion. My urologist wanted to do another TURP, no way, it took

New Member - recent diagnosis
Recently diagnosed with aggressive metastasized prostate cancer (Gleason 4+5=9). TURP was performed last week to help alleviate some symptoms. Radical prostate surgery was not possible due to the spread of cancer. Started ADT (Lupron). Radiology is scheduled for the fall of this year. The bone scan

Stricture 'pops' when Catheterising.
I do a two week catheterise for a stricture I have post TURP (2019). Last time I did it there was some resistance to the Catheter going in and when I eased it past there was a pop sensation as it broke through. No blood though (not like when I had a bladder inspection when the scope broke the stricture

Ductal PCA - Avoid T.U.R.P. and Self Cath
I have serious pissing problems with this cancer and after DX last fall, a TURP was done in December. From that sample, pathology determined this beast to be a Ductal PCA, a very aggressive cancer. Pissing problems returned in March, and the answer was to perform another TURP. Radiation Doc

Is This Normal for PC?
Every Cancer is different is what they all say. I seem to have inherited a very different one. Urination issues: Had urination issues as symptoms beginning last Summer, and diagnosed in November with Ductal PCA. The medical solution to my pissing problem was a TURP. Lasted a bit over two months

Pissing Problems Return
Hello Fellow Warriors! Started two weeks ago with a UI, but was able to empty the tank with some burning and pissing very often. Started on an antibiotic. That didn't help, so on to a different antibiotic that started last Friday. Pissing became more difficult that next day and Sat night thought

Father recently diagnosed with metastatic PC
Hi all, I am from India and my father (75 years) was recently diagnosed with metastatic prostrate cancer with distant metastasis to bones (avid during PET scan). He has had an enlarged prostrate for a long time and a recent blood test showed a PSA of close to 500! That is when a biopsy was done which

Has anyone been through the "TURPS" procedure?
I'm worried about the side effects. Anyone suffer from them? How badly does it affect your life. Was it worth it?

TURP anyone?
Hi everyone, I have been a member of this forum for several years and learned more here than I ever did from doctors. A brief history: DX 1/2016. ADT ( Decapeptyl) but PSA started rising 2019 but scans showed only 1 bone met. PSA 25 then Zytiga + pred 4/2020, over 3 months PSA down to 14 and it has

Any benefit to RP given likely extracapsular extension
My 70 year old father is currently on ADT since March after gleason 9 diagnosis, awaiting IMRT likely starting in June (details in profile). His MRI tests came back showing extracapsular extension and large tumor volume, with likely extension into nearby lymph nodes and seminal vesicles and abutting

Hi guys, I haven't posted in quite a while but like many others read daily and laugh and cry along with you. Quick summary my husband was diagnosed November 2018. Had chemo and 37 fractions of radiotherapy. Due to come off Lupron in November this year if PSA stays undetectable 🙏 He had N1 T3a. He

My treatments to date
Dx 1.5 years ago with Gleason 9, Mets to bladder and pelvic bone. PSA at Dx was 3.45! PCa was found during a TURP surgery. Started Lupron and Erleada. PSA has been undetectable since. Testosterone is basically zero 🙄. Recently had 37 rounds of RT to all sites, and Brachytherapy. Will be having 10 more
