Levothyroxine concerns.
So I’m about to start 50mcg of Levothyroxine as a trial. I have subclinical Hashimotos. My concern is if after taking the thyroxine for 8 weeks if my TSH comes into normal range but I’m still suffering with symptoms, my GP won’t increase the dose. I asked and they confirmed this. I don’t understand

Hashis question
After nearly 13yrs of being hypo I did an at home test to check antibodies, but I've not got much of an idea if the high antibodies are really high or just a 'normal' level for having Hashis? I've never had a goitre, was told I had a few nodules on the RHS of my thyroid when I was first diagnosed.

Change of levo brand to Aristo any problems anyone?
Hi, I have found that I'm sensitive to a change of brand and Aristo is now the only brand of levothyroixine at my local pharmacy. Since changing from Accord 2 1/2 months ago I've found that I've been having repeated headaches and weight gain. Also my blood pressure is scarily high. I'm aware this

Looking for help :(
Diagnosed with hashimotos. I’ve had a few ongoing issues and symptoms and they’re getting worse. My endo didn’t believe it was thyroid related or pcos related but arranged for other tests like ACTH, RF etc. He also stated at this point they were discharging me as there’s nothing more they can help with

helvella - Thyroid Blog
You might or might not know that I have been accumulating information about thyroid issues in my blog - I have created a significant number of pages now. Many will be aware of some of the specific pages which I link to quite regularly. But you might not have realised what else is there. Below is a copy

Have Ibrance mouth sores?
I found something that works! I used a good quality tea tree oil (Do Terra metaluca) and applied it directly onto the sores before bed. Most were gone in the morning. Hope this helps someone. Much love ladies. ❤️

TSH is over 28
Hello, could anyone comment on my blood test, please, because my GP cannot. I am 60 years old female, for the past six months T3 and T4 are normal but after start taking prescribed Levothyroxine TSH went from 8 to 28 and my body temperature dropped to 33C. I have felt extremely weak, constantly

Intermittent fasting (daily 16:8) while taking Levothyroxine - to control weight. Your thoughts please, Is this ok or not advisable?
I’ve read that leaving 16 hours in between eating or drinking anything other than water is an effective way for the body to burn its fat stores. Then during the 8 hour window that you do have food, you make sure you are consuming all the beneficial vitamins, minerals, protein, etc. and sufficient calories

latest nhs results..
They’ve only done the tsh this time (actually I think that will be the norm now), but strangely the return of my symptoms coincides with an NHS tsh test of 1.96 which is EXACTLY the same tsh result as Sept last year when symptoms returned and I asked for the test and then for a small increase from 50

Hypo Throidism
This diagnosis has overwhelming effects on life. I have all the symptoms. Levothyroxine prescription changes with blood tests. None of it works Really is this truly all that is available. If it’s an auto immune system attacking my Thyroid or so I was told by my latest GP phone call. Why not deal with

Lactose-free Levo / night time dosing?
Hi Last week my endo has started me on Levo - lowest starting dose of 25mg. I gave up dairy 6mths ago due to ongoing gastro issues (which I am now thinking may contribute to thyroid issue). Anyway… the pharmacist has given me generic Levo containing lactose. TBH it didn’t even occur to me to check

Confused about starting dose of Levothyroxine.
Hi, this is my first time posting. I was diagnosed with subclinical Hashimotos in 2019. I decided at the time to manage without any medication. I’m now in perimenopause which is having an effect on my thyroid symptoms. For the last month I’ve been feeling very cold, exhausted, aching joints all over
