Out of date Eltroxin
I have some Eltroxin that is about 5 months old. Other than it may not be so effective, does anyone know if it would be dangerous to use?

Radioactive iodine tablets
In July 15 began treatment for overactive thyroid . Now everything is perfect on 20 neomercazole and 25mg eltroxin. Feeling great. Endo now tells me I must have radioactive iodine treatment in May. Really scares me . It seems to be a drastic measure. It will be so difficult as I work alone and I have

Low TOTAL T3 on Eltroxin -significance?
Hello, I was diagnosed hypothyroid 4 years ago. A year ago my TFTs revealed normal T4 & TSH on Eltroxin 75mg daily. However, my blood test also revealed a low (abnormal out of range) TOTAL T3 - (free T3 not available). My endocrinologist completely dismissed it as meaningless and said it shouldn't have

Help with interpreting results, please
Some three decades ago, I suffered from and was treated for Graves Disease, which went into remission after a few years, never to return. For the past two decades I have been treated quite successfully—with only a few minor dose adjustment blips during the first few years—for hypothyroidism. Then,

Re-start Eltroxin
I've been on T3 only for a few years and have recently had some dodgy results. I'm fed up of self medicating and intend to go to a private endocrinologist when I get back to the UK. In the meantime I want to start switching to part thyroxine. Part T3 to see if there's an improvement. I have Eltroxin

TSH too high but T3 and T4 normal
Can anybody explain why my TSH is too high 17 and T3 and T4 still within the normal limits. Am I hypothyroid? Shall I continue with Thyronorm/ Eltroxin 50mcg any more. The same result is consistantly coming for the last 5 tests with only slight difference in TSH

How Adrenals Can Wreak Havoc
Do one of more of the following fit you?? -Having strange reactions or hyper-like symptoms when trying to raise natural desiccated thyroid or T3 (palps, shakiness, whatever.) -Not doing as well on desiccated thyroid as you hoped, even when your doctor had you raise to 2 grains or higher

Posting symptoms as a record for myself and anyone else who might be interested. I want this documented also.
I need to keep a note of what's happening and I thought if I do a kind of blog on here, then I have it at my disposal or for anyone else who needs to see it. After about a year on T4 it was obvious I was not doing well on it. I was even prescribed Eltroxin only so that I didnt shift around with different
