Tamsulosin
Hi, Are there any men with A/F out there who are taking Tamsulosin 400mg for Prostrate problems. I have been prescribed them by the hospital but the side effects info which comes with the capsules mentions them causing Arrythmia's, A/F and Tachycardia. I am in rate controlled, Persistent A/F, and I am

Bicalutamide (Casodex) plus Dutasteride (Avodart)
New Dutch study 1] below. The rationale behind the combination of Casodex & Avodart was articulated in a 2009 paper [2]: "Bicalutamide blocks androgen action in men with prostate cancer but has low affinity for the androgen receptor compared to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Dutasteride, a dual 5-reductase

High PSA
I'm new to this site, so here's my story so far: Two years ago (when I was 68) I lost my appetite and began losing weight - I went from 12 stone in April 2014 to about 10.5 stone over two or three months. My doctor did not start doing blood tests until June of that year and did not include a PSA test

Groin irritation
What can be causing extreme irritation in the groin area, the problem is at its worst during the evening, I bathe daily and change my Underwear daily, I have tried Sudo crème,Canestan,Johnson Baby powder, Lanacane without any relief. Could any of my daily medication be causing the trouble eg; Candesartan

Chronic pelvic pain syndrome
The symptoms are severe continuous pain in the groin, and/or penis, worsened by sitting and by any kind of stretching of the groin area. I have suffered this for several years and the urologist's prescription of tamsulosin, intended to relax the muscles of the pelvic floor in my case had little effect

Anyone on Tamsulosin (alpha blocker) for BPH?
I have PAF but also have a slightly enlarged prostate and have been taking Tamsulosin for nearly 10 years which coincidentaly is how long I have had PAF. By Googling in "Can Tamsulosin trigger AF?" there are sites which say that it can. Also the information leaflet that comes with the packs of Tamsulosin

Neurological or Cardio-Vascular?
I'm going into a bit of a rant here, but some of you might see some sense in it. If you do and your GP is interested in your RLS problem then maybe you could take this to them :- I've only been a victim of RLS for two years; it appeared after I came off treatment for an enlarged Prostate. That medication
