MBC new with Ibrance
I went through the usual surgery, chemo therapy, radiation and
tamoxifen
for 5 years. Not until I’m Aug 2013, bone mets started at the right pelvis, became stage 4. I had XGEVA shots, Xeloda oral chemo, aromasin. Again, in Feb 2017 bone mets progressed to the spine, pelvis area regressed.

Radiation oncologist doctor suggested switching from Bicalutamide to Lupron, and also, at my suggestion, he will also go along with
Tamoxifen
to attempt to reverse the gynecomastia. Doctor will not make a recommendation as to what is best for me. Instead, he leaves either decision up to me.

Second follicle Scan tomorrow - natural modified ivf
I said I’d keep posting on our naturally modified ivf round (this is round 3 for us after 2x max dose nhs rounds) It’s such a breeze being on this gentle stimulation, so far all I have had is 5
tamoxifen
tablets and 2 injections of 150iu bemfola.

Ivf 3 starting now! Natural Modified IVF for low AMH
I’ve never really heard much about
tamoxifen
but dr google says it is supposed to help egg quality in low amh ladies by reducing estrogen?? And also grows follicles. Just FYI we won’t be transferring anything this round so the
tamoxifen
is nothing to do with helping my lining.

Confused
I have been advised
tamoxifen
and radiotherapy but no chemo. However, I decided to take a second opinion and the doctor advised me to have the Ki67 test done to rule out chemo and I have the results: between 30-35%.

Tamoxifen and sudden period
I did have large fibroids before diagnosis but onc said he wasn’t too bothered when first put on
tamoxifen
. This month I had a very light period which lasted 9 days and spotting since. All of old well known symptoms came with period too! Spots, back ache and headache...

First yearly nammogram
I’m taking
tamoxifen
which seems ok so far and also on the add aspirin trial. It’s funny, it’s almost like it hasn’t all happened sometimes but that thought is always in the back of my mind. I hope that as time passes that will get less.

Night Sweats & Hot Flashes relief
Taking
Tamoxifen
since October 2017 now and increasing having the hot flashes and night sweats. Split my dose to 10 mg tab morning and 10mg night and that has maybe helped some. Taking fish oil, flaxseed oil, calcium and D3,plus multi vitamin. Vitamin c too.

Nice to meet you ... to meet you, nice!
I was immediately started on Bicalutamide and
Tamoxifen
. A bone scan in late December shown metastization to the right pelvis. I am being treated at St Luke's Cancer Centre and the proposed next treatment step is zoladex followed by starting chemo.

First Anniversary of diagnosis disappointment.
I expected to have a more thorough check up after the 2 month delay to diagnose the cancer back in February 2017 and the type of aggressive TNBC which means I can't have the routine
Tamoxifen
tablets. I have only been able to have bisphosphonate tablets to protect my bones.

Second diagnosis
First diagnosis in 2009 - Left mastectomy and
Tamoxifen
. No chemo or radiotherapy. Diep flap reconstruction in 2014. Think I went into shock. Due for lumpectomy 31st Jan. First hospital appt - did not gel with the doc and I was a wreck until seeing the consultant yesterday.

Non-cyclical Breast Pain/ Mastalgia & Hypothyroidism: supplementing with Iodine, Progesterone, etc.
This is essentially untreatable, bar taking Evening Primrose Oil and ultimately maybe even a course of
Tamoxifen

My story
I was given
Tamoxifen
but I was also taking Celexa which apparently didn't jive with one another so I was told to stop the
Tamoxifen
and was put on effexor. I started Ibrance September 2016,along with faslodex and Zomeda.

Chemotherapy, a Trusty Weapon Against Cancer, Falls Out of Favor
They can take pills, such as
Tamoxifen
, which reduces the risk of recurrence. Use of chemotherapy to treat early breast cancer has been declining, according to a study led by Dr. Katz and Stanford oncologist Allison Kurian published in December in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
