Extended period of not being well on AF meds
I have been on
tambocor
slow release (200 mg from April to June, 100mg since June), a beta blocker and xarelto (anti coag, i think the common name is Rivaroxaban). I have had this low grade fever/virus for a few months that won't go away.

Hello, For the past 20 years I have been taking
Tambocor
to control Afib however my heart has now gone into from four days on normal heart beat and six days of afib episodes to having Afib full time with no respite.

Afib brought on by steed
Today after 3 cardio versions and 3 different heart specialists I'm on almost all my original MEDS , plus one called -
TAMBOCOR
100. this seemed to settle the afib after a few episodes where my heart went into afib but then came out by itself , however while I haven't had any afib for about 8 months

Scared
I had 3 failed ablations and I am currently on 100 mg
Tambocor
and I take an extra 100 mg when in AF. I am in AF right now and just feel awful. I always convert to sinus rhythm after an additional 100 mg. But apparently today it just isn't working.

Putting a post ablation query out there for ideas
I am in NSR, but 200mg of
tambocor
is a real handbrake. Its meant as a short term measure.

EP consultation re use of flecainide (aka Tambocor) as a pill-in-the-pocket.
Yesterday I had a follow-up visit to my EP's clinic. I rather expected to see his Registrar but actually saw the Senior Consultant himself. He is the nicest man who has a marvellous understanding of atrial fibrillation. I had an ablation nearly 3 years ago when they discovered Fibrosis which was probably

hyponatremia on tambocor
Is it possible that the CR200mg
Tambocor
has lowered my threshold/resistance against this 'dehydration'.

The gym gave me a-fib
I didn't feel great on the hike and that may be the extra
tambocor
in my system. But no a-fib. This morning (Wednesday) I went to gym. Jogged gently for 20 minutes, stopped for water and then got back on a treadmill - all in perfect rhythm.

Quick release Tambocor is so much better!
I was on slow release
Tambocor
(flecainide) [CR next to the pill name] from October until recently. Initially i was on 200mg (one pil), then down to 100mg. Recently I went into A-fib while taking 100mg and was cardioverted for the 4th time.

Back in A-fib even when taking flecainide
I have been taking 100mg flecainide (
tambocor
) since February (before that i was on 200mg) daily. I went into A-fib some time over the weekend. I haven't been able to see my cardio yet as i was away and yesterday was a public holiday. Anyone experienced this?

Tambocor flecainide
I've recently had to change flecainide brand to
Tambocor
due pharmacy not being able to get usual brand. I've noticed that this seems to caused AF symptoms, which I've not had for ages as Meds have managed symptoms well. As anyone else taken this brand and had problems?

Monitoring for A-Fib
I have been on
tambocor
(flecainide) since October. I started at 200mg/day, went down to 100mg about 6 weeks ago. I saw my cardiologist yesterday and he has suggested slowly weening myself off the tambacor. I will start by only taking
tambocor
on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Experiences with flecainide
With respect to everything below, a good warm up made a really big difference – much more so than before
tambocor
. Essentially, the
tambocor
didn’t allow me to exert myself in a way that resulted in my heart rate accelerating rapidly.

Propafenone (Rythmol) or Flecainide (Tambocor)
I started taking propafenone this past Tuesday (4 days ago) and it makes me very lightheaded and increases my breathing difficulty, I have copd, using Metoprolol and an inhaler. It also drains my energy. The EP nurse said I could stop the Propafenone and after a few days they would start me on Flecainide
