Is there are difference between Tambocor and Flecainide. Do they both work the same. Is Tambocor jut a brand name for Flecainide. My chemist often gives me different brands. Some just say Flecainide on the box and others Tambocor on the box..

Hi Patient007 I think that there may be in price!. The only way that I got Tambocor (my choice) from my last two chemists was by the GP giving me a a prescription for Tambocor and not Flecainide. Although this medicine is 'generic' I think that what goes into the tablet to 'pad' them out could be different. Terry

Thanks. Ive always had flecainide. First time tambocor. I think they were out of stock with my usual flecainide

Tambocor is the brand name. Flecainide the generic.

Fundamentally no, but I have had a problem with some of the generic ones so I always request Tambocor. That could just be me!

Been taking flecainide 15 years. First time had tambocor

I think Tambocor is the creme de la creme of Flecainide. My chemists (2) would only supply against a prescription with its specific name on it. Enjoy!!
