Hi, check up @ surgery as requested from cardiologist on discharge papers. However, after showering/ dressing I was breathless /light headed & went to surgery ( 5 mins away) for my appointment with Nurse.

My BP was OK but heart rate 105 so was then seen by Duty Dr who then sent me back to hospital. ( Pacemaker fitted there on 12th March).

Hospital gave me full check up & not sure why I’m tachycardia but had 2 episodes last week. Will be referred back to Cardiologist’s clinic.

Anyone else had tachycardia after Pacemaker fitted ( it’s dual chamber for total heart block).

Thank you.

The link below offers an explanation and it suggests that your pacemaker programme/settings may need to be adjusted.

PS: A thought. My wife has a pacemaker and the pacing team at the hospital always say if you have any issues then get in touch. If you had a pacemaker fitted three weeks ago you must be due an initial pacing check in 3 or so week’s time. They will be able to see what has been happening in the time since the pacemaker was fitted. If necessary, they will seek advice from a cardiologist.
