Hello
Hi there This is my first post so wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 6 years ago, and struggled with accepting there was an issue and then with the wealth of conflicting opinions. I couldn’t get why if it is such a common thing why it’s not taken more seriously

Iron infusion & over symptoms
Hey all,I was wondering if anyone experienced thyroid overmedication symptoms after iron IV? It's day 3 today, I have much better energy, but also feel jittery and hot at times. I assume iron is making the cellular absorption better and increases conversion. I'll probably do another ft4 ft3 test soon

hi there please can someone help me understand my results from a recent thyroid function test: tSH levels were 4.63 mu/L which indicates it’s high Thyroxine levels were 13.3 pmol/L and it’s saying that’s normal Triiodothyronine levels 4.4pmol/L levels normal The indication is that I don’t need treatment

Test results and lowered levo
Hi, Wondering if I can get some advice! During a visit to an endocrinologist (unrelated to my thyroid problems) I was surprised with thyroid function tests mid-afternoon. The results (TSH 0.04 & T4 20.4) led to the endo recommending my levothyroxine be dropped from 100mcg (a dose I’ve been on for

Higher CSF/serum free-T4 ratio is associated with improvement of quality of life during treatment with L-thyroxine
An interesting paper. Note a parallel with Pernicious Anaemia/B12 deficiency in which some have low CSF B12 while having high serum B12. Asking the question, though the answer is almost certan, has anyone ever had their CSF thryoid hormone levels tested? On Twitter: [i]Johannes W. Dietrich @drjwdietrich

Help with Results and Hair Loss
Hi, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism formally in July 2020, and put on 50mg Levo initially although my TSH levels had been over 5 for the 2 years prior to 2020 with the GP saying they would just monitor 🤦🏼♀️ subsequent blood tests after starting Levo showed the TSH was up and down, but GP kept

Worried about TSH levels :( 0.04mlU/L
I am taking a small 3mg of T3 with a private prescription and my NHS endo has said, this prescription is causing my lower TSH - but that feels like I'm being gaslight again. I'm feeling soo fatigued and stressed trying to get it sorted. I know I need to my levels on the lower side due to previous thyroid

Endo no longer wants to see me.
My recent blood tests show my tsh is 0.54 (0.35 - 4.94 ulU/ml) and my t4 is 14.5 (9.0 - 19.0 pmol/ml). I am on 75 mcg euthyrox. I had a scan on Friday and now have residual thyroid tissue on both the left and right side, 6 months ago I only had thyroid tissue on the left side. Total thyroidectomy was

NHS Endo blood request form whilst on T3 & 4
Just received my latest bloods form which only requests TSH and fT4... since starting T3 a year ago they have never requested a fT3 result ( I've added them to the form for my own benefit) Is this the norm? Just curious It's almost as if I'm prescribed T3 but they don't acknowledge it 🤷♀️

Hi all, I’ve not been on here in a very long time as I’ve had a lot of family issues. But I’ve had a lot of health problems of late like tiredness, sleep problems etc. so spoke to a new doctor and she suggested I do some bloods. I was wondering if there was someone who could shine a light on them

Article
I have an online magazine account and been recently reading articles from a magazine called “What Doctors Don’t Tell You” and thought this blurb called “No Better Than A Sugar Pill” was interesting about T4/T3. Attached is the screenshot of the article blurb …. Don’t ask me for entire article because

Original blood results
Good morning, I finally have the blood results that caused the doc to refer me to endocrinology and prescribe Carbimazole and Propranolol. There is a lot on this form. Please can you tell me what is relevant to diagnose thyroid issues and possibly Graves disease? I am happy to share any results but

Cholesterol 😩
Can someone clever please help with this Blood test of yesterday? It was slightly higher 3 months ago but my TSH was higher also so I didn’t worry too much. So now Levothyroxine has been increased and I’m over corrected at TSH of 0.25 and Free T4 of 30. Was hoping that my previous TSH of 5.4 was responsible
