Starting on Armour
Starting on Armour for first time tomorrow, I have been told to take 1/2 grain at 8am and 1/4 grain at 3pm. According to the Thyroid Pharmacists conversion table that is equivalent to 75 levo, I am currently only on 50 levo which I have been told to stop while I trial the Armour. I tried 75 levo 3

TSH result
I had a blood test yesterday as I haven’t felt great recently. Unfortunately as it was a cancellation I had taken my 100 thyroxine that morning. The test was done at 11.40. The nurse said it wouldn’t matter. The result today is 0.67.mu/L. I know they will say this is within the norm and won’t do anything

I have had my thyroid checked. I’m sure my consultant is going to reduce my thyroxine dose because of my suppressed TSH. My TSH has been suppressed ever since I started taking medication (2004). Should he be reducing it? I always do better with my T4 in the top end. I had my T4 tested (without the

BTA and 'T3 does not cross the placenta'
The BTA guidelines on liothyronine state 'T3 does not cross the placenta'. There is some truth in this in that type 3 deiodinase (D3) in placenta converts T3 to T2. However, they fail to point out that D3 also converts T4 to rT3. The transport of T3 and T4 across the placenta is very complex but the

Buying T3 privately
Can I have some help with sourcing T3 privately. I am UK. Endo has me on 10 mcg of T3, morning dose, for the last 9 weeks. I feel that this should be upped, but I do not see him now for another 2 months. I would like to be able to adjust my T3 in increments as my hypo symptoms are back. They were

Anyone here on hydrocortisone and thyroid meds?
Hey all, Started hydrocortisone trial today as I'm having trouble tolerating thyroid meds and my morning saliva cortisol was 7% range, early afternoon was 9%, the rest was good. Any success stories? How much hydro do you take and your thyroid dose? I'm currently just trialling hydro, 10-7.5-5-2.5 mg

First time posting here with questions
Hello, I was wondering how to tell if you need b12 injections when you take oral b12 and your serum b12 always comes out looking great? I haven't had it tested recently but past tests always come out way over the range. Anyway, I saw a post by @Marz in which she said that she takes b12 due to having

DNAblue Thyroid Genetic Traits
Hello! I am considering getting the DNAblue Thyroid Genetic Traits test from Blue Horizon, as I suspect I am a poor converter of T4 to T3. It looks as though it is a relatively new test and was wondering if anybody had experience of using it please?

tingling feet and hands
I have a tingling/buzzing feeling in feet and hands. I also get a burning leg sensation at night in bed which I've always put down to menopause. The tingling is a lot worse since covid mid july. Also have treated underactive thyroid and fatigue. I'm aware that B12 should ideally be higher for T4 conversion

Test results and lowered levo
Hi, Wondering if I can get some advice! During a visit to an endocrinologist (unrelated to my thyroid problems) I was surprised with thyroid function tests mid-afternoon. The results (TSH 0.04 & T4 20.4) led to the endo recommending my levothyroxine be dropped from 100mcg (a dose I’ve been on for

Hello, I’m still quite new to the group. History of hypothyroid 9 years. Less well controlled symptoms last 18+months. If I’m honest I’ve never felt the same since going through huge stress 5 years ago when my husband was having treatment for a serious illness right after I’d just had our second

t3 only treatment need advice
When i got hypo i figured out fast that t4 only only worsend everything. My doc added 10 t3 it was better but not optimal. She put me on 4 Grain NDT and i did well for 2 years. Then got one symptom and we played with NDT dosages lower, higher, brands and a combo with NDT plus 10 T3... I transitioned
