A BIG THANK YOU!
I stupidly allowed him to lower my
Synthroid
dose because I did not know any better. Out of desperation I resorted to Google and bumped into this “life saving” forum. I joined, read all the various stories and developed confidence to write my own posts.

Thyroid and brain fog
Tracked levels as group suggested and had
synthroid
adjusted to no avail. for 7 years had brain fog and no specialist (4) could provide a reason for sudden onset or cause. what cleared the brain fog was spironlactone 25mg taken every other day prescribed by my cardiologist.

Overmedicated extreme brain fog
Ended up becoming hypo (tsh 224) within 3 weeks so I went back on that SAME dosage (same brand as well,
synthroid
) After 7 weeks I started noticing a ton of brain fog, fast heart rate and all hypo symptoms. Ended up with a tsh of 0.04. Dosage got lowered to 175mcg, tsh hardly moved to 0.05.

TSH and reference ranges vary by where you live. Just can't get the answers i need.
I was put on
synthroid
at 1/2 of 25mcg but started getting palputations and feeling hyper so i stopped. Nothing from doctor so not sure if i should go back on. Thyroid and Hashimotos runs in the family.

I would like to increase my Cytomel by taking 1/ 4 of 25 mcg pill 3 times per day, rather than adding an extra 5 mcg Cytomel (currently taking 2 ) while keeping
Synthroid
the same, at 0.75 mcg.

Sourcing meds…
Can’t recall how this works, but if someone was fed up with doctors and wanted to source their own
Synthroid
, how would they do that? Asking for a friend 🫤

Pred affects glucose...what about thyroid?
I already take two different doses of
synthroid
and I take T3. It usually stabilizes easily and stays at the level for quite a long time....but obviously things throw it out. With PMR it's hard to know what is what...but I hate feeling so tired. thanks everyone. Be well.

THYROXINE SYNTHROID TABS
I changed to cheap brand to
Synthroid
as there is a expiry date, kiddie lock and moisture thingy inside AND easier to stay on your level. I take 100 tab daily with either 25mcg or 50mcg. It works out 150mcg on 1 day inside 2 weeks. Cheers JOY. 73 (NZ)

Searching for another T3 hormone..
I checked the Internet, and I can see that I can get here
Synthroid
and Eutirox. I am a bit afraid to change brands, but maybe it could also work well to take something else than Tirosint. Also I don't know any other brand for Liothyronin (T3) , wich I take with Thybon at the moment.

Post MD meeting - thank you for your support!
Between the support of several folks here and having a great doctor, I now have a prescription for 4 months for the same amount of
Synthroid
(25 mcg) and 1/2 x 25 mcg Cytomel per day.

It is believed that now the

Levothyroxine vs Euthyrox
I had been taking
Synthroid
for about 8 years. I moved and the doctor I am now seeing put me on Levothyroxine. I had no issues with this, then my last refill was for Euthyrox. After the fifth dose, I got a rash on my ankles.

I have Hashimotos and three months ago my TSH was 7.94 so my doctor increased my
Synthroid
. I was not smart and took too much of the medicine and yesterday my TSH is now less than 0.01 and my T4 is 1.7 ng/dl Has anyone else had this problem?

Efra thyroid and 25 mcg
Synthroid
, he tells me that’s equivalent to 150 mcg levo, is that correct? I don’t trust him!! My tsh has been 0.01 since I started on thyroid hormone, so that’s all he really focus on. I was ill for years prior to my diagnosis, also has chronic Lyme disease.
