Misdiagnosis for 22 years !
So
synthroid
i took for 22 years still symptommatic ... finally my dt decided to test the two hormones t4 and t3. My t3 was none existant. It is your active form of thyroid replacement. Your metabolism! The conclusion was made that i was missing the conversion factor.

Hypothyroid with Tinnitus
I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid about 6 months ago, and have tried several medications, the last two being Levothyroxine, and just recently
Synthroid
. I started to notice a ringing in my ears and extreme anxiety.

Very lightheaded in the mornings on Nature-throid
I am about ready to give up on NDT and go back to
synthroid
, but a higher dose, and maybe try some t3 with it. Should i continue to titrate up on Nature-throid or switch to something different?

Coffee and levothyroxine
Hello, wondering if anyone out there has trouble when drinking coffee while on
synthroid
. It seems to make me feel terrible now, used to drink it all day! I also smoke, just can't seem to give it up! Thanks! Cobbyp.

Thyroid med change
Hi, Due to low T3 my doc added 1/4 grain of nature throid to my .75 mcg
synthroid
. Day 3 and I can't sleep, feel depressed and have bouts of anxiety. I wasn't having any of these symptoms before. Does anybody have any insight? Thank You, Sandy

Low TSH, Low T-4, Low T-3 Anwers
Metformin, 2500 mg. a day along with testosterone blocking meds like Spironaldactone, (also a fluid pill) twice daily, combined with
Synthroid
and other fluid pills, helped me to lose the sixty pounds I had gained and keeps the swelling and bloating down.

Does exercise affect TSH?
I have labs in 2 weeks after a 6 week trial of 75mg
Synthroid
. My last TSH was 1.70 while the T3 and T4 were in 33% of range.

T3 outsourced
Free T3 2.4 (2.3-4.2) Ft4. .6 (.76-1.46) Placed on
synthroid
(that I'm not taking) I'm still taking my NDT 95mg and 5ug T3 (twice daily). (Yes he finally gave me a little but won't budge).

Dosage/Labs Update and still feel horrible:
The sinuses isn't rare but has been common, especially on
synthroid
. Most importantly, I don't feel that the T3 is helping me. I have a doc that wants me to try Armour and I am hesitant to do NDT again but I don't know if I should have raised or what.

B12 level too high (not supplementing)
[Currently taking: 50-mcg
Synthroid
/ 15-mcg Liothyronine] My doctor's office called and said my levels were fine, but why would my B12 level be high if I am not taking B12 supplements? And shouldn't I have a higher level of Vitamin D?

Lost
I emailed her office and suggested I lower from 88 to 75 of
synthroid
and add my 5 mcg of cytomel back in. I just want suggestions since it seems I'm the one suggesting things and she always say ok. This can be good and bad. Should I keep just taking T4 only or try lower t4 and add back in cytomel

Switched over to NP Thyroid from Synthroid
I was previously on 112 mcg
Synthroid
. The GP is going to retest in 4 weeks. From what I have been reading seems kinda low starting dose. Is 30 mg too low to start off with after being on 112 mcg
Synthroid
? Or is this normal switching from synthetic to NDT to start low.

Synthroid levels and Urso
I never had to change
Synthroid
dosage. and then after 6 months on Urso I've had to increase dosage 3 times. GP says she doesn't find any interaction between Urso and
Synthroid
. Anyone else experience this? And I'm truly grateful for finding this forum- a real lifeline.

Dr. stopping my T3 Only prescription and forcing a referral to endocrinologist!
The irony is my Mother is who has always been on T4
synthroid
treatment-now has both osteoporosis and atrial fibrillation!!! Isn't the Hashimotos that causes all these problems and not necessarily the medicines? I am back to the viscious cycle of finding a Dr to support me.

My country is out of NDT.
My doctor is suggesting thyroxine and
synthroid
. This terrifies me!! I'm wondering if anybody could advise me, or share what I should expect, or even how to transition. I medicate myself, my doctor keeps my t3 very low. Just barely over the normal line. Because my tSH is low in her opinion.
