From Hashimoto's to Graves disease? What should they test?
I have done well replacing with
Synthroid
(levethyroxine) for the hypothyroid, cortisol and florinef for Addison's disease and insulin for diabetes. About a year ago my thyroid gland started working again and now it has become overactive.

Thyroid blues
Needless to say, the doc changed my meds from levothyroxine/
synthroid
to armour thyroid and soon after my TSH dropped from 62 to 57 and small increments until now 3 months later my TSH is a 37 and my free t4 is .62. Back in august my free t4 was a .3. I got tired of going to the hospital.

introduction
My mother was on the
synthroid
for hypothyroid and it proved to be ineffective. My most recent challenge is trying to find out the reason for significant hair loss. My iron levels look good as does the B12,& D3 . The hair loss seemed to occur with the addition of the T3.

Hypothyroidism ??
Antibodies: 1828.0 Thyroglobulin: <0.1 TPO Antibody: 363.0 My GP said I have subclinical hypothyroidism and started me on 25 mcg
Synthroid
because my symptoms were really bad. I felt so terrible. Its been 2 weeks now, and my energy level is improved.

Full of questions?
I was on
Synthroid
for over 30 years...never really ever felt good...but never knew why? Asked to be put on Armour 6 months ago. Doctor didn't want to but finally did. So I've been on Armour for about 6 months now, feeling somewhat better but still not there yet?

After thyroid removal question
I was told once giving the proper amount of
synthroid
I would start loosing weight. Why is it taking so long to get me regulated?

Should I take the
synthroid
or try supplements or just do nothing. I just know that it is consuming my thoughts and would appreciate some input. Thank you

Looking for some help for my Hypo Sister
She is currently taking .135
Synthroid
I think. She just had labs done and these are results: TSH 1.04 (.45-4.5) FT3 3.4 (2.0-4.4) FT4 1.93 (.82-1.77) TPO 105 (0-34) I told her I thought she should get her FT3 up a bit since it isn't in upper range.

Introducing myself!
I'm also pre-diabetic but keep my glucose well under control and other than that I just take
synthroid
for hypothyroidism. I'm still feel like a "young" 66 year old" and hope to beat this pmr in a timely manner! Cheers! Diane

Thyroid panel results for autoimmune w cancer
Or if I tweaked the ThyroGold (had been on 150 mg right before but switched to
synthroid
due to finances). I still have both I can take. A combination of
synthroid
base w a hint of ThyroGold would be best for me financially right now. Unfortunate as that is. Thank you for reading and helping.

Can anyone help convert NDT dose to Levo?
Due to the WP-NatureThroid shortage, I need to take
Synthroid
for 4-5 days. Know there are other NDT options, but doctor hasn't returned my message or email for a new Rxl. Responsive as always & her office is closed Fridays. I've been taking 113.75 mg of NatureThroid.

Concerned about T3
Hello, I am a hypothyroid patient in Korea am taking
synthroid
currently, but has always felt terrible on it. Here, we actually have compound t3/t4 thyroid medication which I want to try out. Since my TSH has always been suppressed whereas my T3 has always been in below the range.

Should I try to treat my thyroid if I am allergic to the medication or fillers in it?
I was put on
Synthroid
/Levo and had a bad allergic reaction. After a long, long time and a longer story, I was switched to Armour. The allergic reaction only went away when they took me off everything.

Hashis, but why is my TSH this high?!?
Hi, in short I have been keeping my TSH down in the normal range with
synthroid
. I got pregnant and ended up doubling my dose by the end of my pregnancy. At my 6 week checkup I was hyper do my Dr dropped my dose to what I was on before I was pregnant, 70mcg.

Update Labs/Contradicting Symptoms:
Back in March I had lowered my T4 to 137
Synthroid
from 163. Just to recap, my main symptoms are not being able to sleep and being fatigued and lethargic. I thought that maybe my FT4 was to blame and T3 doesn't do much for me except makes me feel hot and sweaty, definitely not like the T3 in NDT.
