T4-only; T3-T4 Combo, T3-only or NDT? How do you know?
I was reducing the T4 from 75, while upping the T3 from a prescription 5mcg to 7.5 and I cut the T4
Synthroid
pill in half because it was giving me heart palipatations until the past two nightsWednesday & Thursday night, as I took only T3, and when I woke up, at the usual palipatation time (about 3 hours

Adding T3 to T4 - how much
So added 20mcg of T3 (Cytomel) to the 75mgc of T4 (
Synthroid
). And the Cytomel has helped - I am having more better days than horrible days, but not optimal. I think I may need more T3 - wondering if anyone has been through adding T3 - how much did you add? Did you reduce T4?

Thyroid Advice
I currently take
Synthroid
for Hypothyroidism but never had the additional test. Are these numbers something to be concerned about?

Change of brand
For some time now I have been taking Levothyroxine but since changing pharmacies I have been offered the options of changing to either
Synthroid
or Eltroxin. Because I haven't felt much better on the Levo I have chosen to change to Eltroxin and am now wondering if I have done the right thing.

Didn't take my Thyroid meds right and am very sick.
I was taking
Synthroid
225 in early morning. Sometimes, I would take it right after a GAs X or something like that and take it with food or other meds. I have diagnosed myself by just reading, going to my Dr. Tuesday. You may or may not relate to these symptoms, but I'll share anyway.

Synthroid Dose Increases of 12.5mcg or 25mcg?
Thought I’d ask the members on this forum if you did better by having your dose increased in small increments, 12.5mcg every 4-6 weeks or by 25mcg. Did you notice any differences? Being on only 100mcg and 112mcg for 6 months now I’ve been feeling horrible and becoming impatient.

Besides not always being consistent it does work way better than
Synthroid
. But I have heard that many many cows in New Zealand will be killed for mad cow disease. That concerns me since it comes from there. Please let me know my next step. Thank you so much.

Congenital/Child Onset Central Hypothyroidism
The improvement of and lingering of symptoms on
Synthroid
are downplayed, and the risk of hyperthyroidism over-exaggerated. Will be seeking an alternative opinion.

Nature-throid, Armour-throid or West-throid no prescription online?
I'm scared of
synthroid
because I'm already having irregular period bleeding from it which last time made me bleed for 6 months straight and I had no idea it was the
synthroid
until I stopped taking it and switched to nature throid, and inmediatly my periods became regular and all the other problems stopped

Feeling awfully hypo
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's last April, on 50mcg of
Synthroid
(levothyroxine). I should be on a higher dosage but can not tolerate it. When I was first diagnosed they had me on 100mcg and I was over medicated.

NORMAL, BUT STILL HYPO!!!!!
My PCP continued to treat me basically the same amount of
synthroid
meds and my thyroids literally crashed. At this point, I was extremely ill and yet my PCP refused to refer me to an endocrinologist.

Question on Absorption, Dose Increase, and Zoloft interaction. Doctor taking too much time!
A few days later, now having begun 88mcg
Synthroid
, I also began Adderall for ADHD. Previously keeping an hour between
Synthroid
and breakfast, I would take Adderall 20-30 minutes after
Synthroid
.

Acute Pelvic Pain
Has anyone else experienced stabbing pelvic pain and muscle spasms in upper legs while on
synthroid
? For background, I had my thyroid removed a year ago for cancer and then had radioactive iodine. I’m currently on 150 mcg for
synthroid
and it’s working fine.
