Diagnosis
Today I have no obvious swelling so she sent me for ultrasound scans which showed
synovitis
. However because I have no positive blood markers she wasn't really up for giving me a diagnosis so she says I have seronegative undifferentiated inflammatory arthritis???? Has anyone else had this?

Increase in medication
She wrote this in letter to my GP - “my feeling is that she needs more aggressive treatment given her sero-positivity and the amount of
synovitis
I have seen today” I have an appointment to see her again next Monday to tell her what I want to add.

Hydroxychloroquine side effects
He has said that I have Sjogrens, fibromyalgia and
synovitis
. I have only posted once before when I was unsure of whether or not to start taking Methotrexate. I am having a lot of pressure put on me at work and felt that if I had side effects, I may have to take sick leave.

Hi, I'm a newbie!
NICE guidelines state that anyone with normal blood results but physically shows
synovitis
must be urgently referred to rheumatology. This has not happened with me. I wrote a letter of complaint to GP surgery with photos of my swollen hands, ankles and feet which my husband handed in today.

Please wish me luck today.
She said if the ultrasound didn’t show any
synovitis
she would stop the Methotrexate. I took the decision to stop the ante inflammatory over the weekend as I’m sure that’s been working more than my medication this past year, and sure enough I’ve been in absolute agony all weekend.

Me again
She says she has put me on a trial dose of 7.5 Methotrexate for 3 months , I’m also waiting for an appointment for an ultrasound on my hands and if there is no sign of active
synovitis
she will take me off the Methotrexate.

Does this sound like RA?
I saw a rheumatologist, who did a full range of blood tests and, on the basis of past diagnosis and slight
synovitis
of ultrasound of hands, diagnosed RA again. I’ve been back on sulfa for about four months now and my blood tests have been unremarkable.

Is a Bursitis/Synovitis a symptom of PMR/GCA?
My OH with PMR and possibly GCA has a large sausage shaped bursitis/
synovitis
(I'm not actually sure what the difference is) in his groin/thigh. Found with ultrasound scan.

Is it PMR, or GCA or neither?
An ultrasound scan showed it to be a bag of unknown fluid (bursitis or
synovitis
) which the GP said couldnt be drained as it was between a main artery and nerve. No intervention helped at all with the pain in upper body - osteopath, chiropractor, physiotherapist and massage every day (by me).

Ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrate prominent extensor tenosynovitis of the extensor tendon of the forearms and hands, with lesser amounts of flexor tenosynovitis and
synovitis
of the metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints [54].

Is this early RA?
My initial diagnosis after ultrasound showed moderate
synovitis
in hands and feet was reactive/early, seronegative RA. I am hyper mobile apparently but have no other features of a hypermobility syndrome.

Remission
If you’re showing signs of
synovitis
, when scanned, can you be said to be in remission? Also, can you evidence
synovitis
in one part of your body whilst it is absent in other parts? I’m a bit confused.

This is a call out for. Do you feel down after your 3 month rheumatology review for Lupus?
but the pain and gnarled look in all my joints (which has been labelled as RA,
synovitis
and now back to OA) is really getting me down, plus my hair falling out, constant thirst, and the ever present exhaustion. I feel (and now walk ad move!)

Update on my tests following my first rheumatology appointment.
I’ve got chronic
synovitis
in both hands in the middle and bottom knuckles, on my right hand the tendons in my ring and little finger are thickened. Which explains why they are so sore. My feet have
synovitis
is some of my toes, with oesteoarthritis and bunions on both big toes.

Rheumatoid Arthritis or ?????
There was
synovitis
and effusion. She put me on methotrexate and Sent me to a Orthopedic surgeon for his opinion. Long story short I had shoulder arthroscopic surgery. He found much inflammation, removed bone spur. Bad pain still in left shoulder and left hip.

2017 and difficulty when my rheumatologist retired 🤦♀️
It did show the erosion in my wrist but no active
synovitis
or other inflammation. So I remained on hydroxychloroquinine and saw her in Jan for more blood work.
