Synovitis in my elbow
Is RA determine to take over my body? As if the pain in my Hands, wrist, right hip, knee and ankle not bad enough I know have the worse pain ever in my left elbow, this makes walking with my stick very painful. Nothing is working for the pain so take oralmorph for some relief to sleep.

My son is so unwell and we need help
He had an MRI of the hands and
synovitis
was seen in his right hand. He has Raynauds phenomenon and inflammation of his rib cage. He went into hospital for abdominal pain and had his appendix out.

The continuing debate about CRP and ESR, my experience...so far.
That the inflammatory markers are normal is a good sign and makes significant joint damage less likely but that she has continued joint swelling indicates that there is still
synovitis
.
Synovitis
is the swelling due to the presence of inflammatory cells in tissue around the joints.

if it aint inflammation then what is it
I dont know why your getting pain cos there is no inflammation- not like the active
synovitis
activity from last June? Why the hell does it hurt. He mentioned it could be damage that's been caused by the inflammation. Can anyone advise me ? Thank you xx

Splints - do I need to ask for them and do they work?
I have
synovitis
in my wrist with a small ganglin, most days I can cope with it but somedays I have no pressure and it is sore, would a splint help? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Good for the body and the soul.
I've been seeing her twice a week for the past month about the
synovitis
(sp?) in my left ankle. She usually just gets gel and gives me an ultrasound massage in the affected joint but today and also a few weeks ago she gave me a deep muscle massage in my calves.

My story so far....
Today I'm feeling a little sorry for myself after a trip to the hospital having been stabbed in the wrist and ankle to try to deal with my most recent bout of
synovitis
under tendons and the news that I will have to increase my Methotrexate dose to 22.5mg a week means I'm not a happy bunny.

Disease Activity Score - - DAS
The scoring is done using a special DAS calculator and combines the tender joints, the swollen joints (ie those showing
synovitis
), the ESR and the VAS and a couple of factors thrown in!

I am diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and Raynaud's. My consultant thinks I have another autoimmune disease too. Can anyone help me?
My ultrasound showed definite
synovitis
in my hands. My ana was speckled 1:80 (nurse said positive but rheumatologist said negative???) I have had tiny bright red spots in my mouth but they come and go.

... And a Happy New Year ...
Unfortunately (or fortunately, dependent on which way you look at it), my blood tests came back with (again) just a raised CRP, and the ultrasound scan on my hands and wrists revealed no
synovitis
, and no arthritic degeneration.

Breathlessness: What happened next............
Fortunately I had an appointment pre booked with the
synovitis
nurse (which I assume is the same as rheumy nurse). Can you believe it, the very day I'm feeling so out of breath, where is the only place to park........... the car park furthest away from the entrance to the hospital and up a hill!!
