Covid & Asthma a massive link after talking to my GP and paramedic friend.
I have infection induced asthma and I take
symbicort
as a preventer 2 * a day twice and I have Bricanyl as a reliever.

My GP felt a change of inhaler might help as I'd been using
Symbicort
for about 5 years. My AF had got into a pattern of about every 2 weeks an episode of around 6 hours duration coming on in the mid afternoon.

Is my mother Asthma?
When she wheezed or felt need to take med she took
Symbicort
very rarely. This med is a maintenance med and not an attack med that she must use everyday but he uses once a month or 2 weeks. Does it mean that she is not asthma because she does not have attacks without meds or is it dangerous.

Acid Reflux from Symbicort
Began with
Symbicort
DPI, but suffered a number of side effects. Have changed to Seritide inhaler, but am left with acid reflux side effect from
Symbicort
. Has anyone experienced something similar? Has the change in meds resulted in the reflux dissipating over time?

Medication
I’ve changed to Relvar Ellipta this week from
Symbicort
. I’m experiencing multiple side effects such as unstable blood sugars, continual nausea, skin irritation. Has anyone had a similar experience and do these go away. Thanks in advance

asthma inhaler interaction with prednisone?
just adding to my previous post, yesterday I started using an asthma inhaler, (called
Symbicort
, active ingredients budesonide and fumaterol fumarate dihydrate ) prescribed for a long term cough, hopefully to be cleared up after two weeks of the inhaler.

Symbicort
Many years I have taken
Symbicort
. Yesterday with a new inhaler I got the worst taste ever. I have never gotten a very bad taste from it before. If I had to describe it it would be like fumes from the gas station. It’s kinda scary. Should I be concerned? Call the company?

Why aren't my meds working?
I'm on Fostair 100/6 (for years I was on
Symbicort
turbohaler 100 and then 200/6). I have a reliever Ventolin 100 too. I am checking my pt and my best is 350-370. I am still doing this reading now when I'm unwell. I feel short of breath and my chest feels slightly compressed.

Might’ve taken inhaler twice help
Hi everyone, after I got out of the shower I couldn’t remembered if I had taken my
Symbicort
inhaler before my shower. Anyway, I ended up taking it after the shower to be safe. Should I be worried if indeed I did accidentally take 2 doses of
symbicort
? Thanks

Shielding - should I really be?
I have never felt I really am CEV though technically I hit the criteria (
symbicort
and spiriva). Most of the time I get by on a half dose of spiriva though.

Crackling in chest when laying on back
I’ve been diagnosed with asthma as I’ve had life changing breathing issues alongside upper body chronic pain since my second pneumothorax so I take clenil and have been given
Symbicort
as clenil doesn’t help much in the winter.

Montelukast
I also use
Symbicort
as a preventer and ventolin when needed. I have googled Montelukast and a lot of people have described side affects, such as weight gain, weird dreams and seizures. Can’t anyone here let me know their experiences ? Thank you in advance !

Catch 22 Again.
On Saturday day-by-day blood sugar level was 7.5 and on Sunday 8.9 - I stopped using
symbicort
at that point in time. This morning, the same practice nurse phoned me asking about my cessation of
symbicort
. She suggested there was no no evidence that
symbicort
had caused this anomaly.

Blue badge for severe asthma?
I have severe eosinophilic asthma and use the following: Fostair 200 (although I may ask to switch back to the
symbicort
200), spriva respimat, montelukast, fexofenadine, regular rescue pack of antibiotics and steroids also, amoung other medications for other conditions - I was due to start biological

Symbicort, flow of medication
Took my usual dose of
symbicort
this evening and it felt a bit strange, almost like there was something preventing the air being sucked in properly from the device. Has anyone had this before? Is it to do with the mouthpiece being accidentally rotated at some point?

Formoterol and Albuterol
For the last few days I've lowered my dose of
Symbicort
to 1 puff am, 1 puff pm and took a puff of my albuterol about an hour ago and can feel the effects of it much better than I have been over the last few weeks. Just curious Thanks again
