Hi everyone,I’d be grateful for any input. I’ve changed to Relvar Ellipta this week from Symbicort. I’m experiencing multiple side effects such as unstable blood sugars, continual nausea, skin irritation. Has anyone had a similar experience and do these go away. Thanks in advance

I can't shed light on your side effects, but I am simply curious why your doctor switched you. They are both LABA/ICS combinations.

Hiya, the respiratory nurse changed my inhaler due to having flare ups. As I’m new to having COPD and the methods of treatment, I assumed it was a better inhaler, but it hasn’t had the desired effect for me all round. Yeah, there both the same type of inhaler. I’m waiting on an appointment with the pulmonologist, so that may help things along. In the meantime I’ll be looking to return to the symbicort . Thanks for the input, much appreciated

I have never used either one, but I would say go back to the symbicourt at least until you see the pulmonologist.

If you are having flare ups, you may need to start using a rescue inhaler? I use a "maintenance" inhaler twice a day, and carry a "rescue" inhaler for sudden symptoms or flair ups. For when I get short of breath.

That was my thinking to Katherine, I have rescue inhaler and use it when needed, the two inhalers mentioned are maintenance inhalers. I’m on a short course of oral steroids too. Thanks for the input
