Might’ve taken inhaler twice help

Hi everyone, after I got out of the shower I couldn’t remembered if I had taken my Symbicort inhaler before my shower. Anyway, I ended up taking it after the shower to be safe. Should I be worried if indeed I did accidentally take 2 doses of symbicort? Thanks

Hi

No need to panic! Just go back to standard tomorrow! For future reference, use the counter. If you always go from even to odd in the morning then odd to even in the evening (or vice versa!) you can tell if you’ve taken it by whether it ends in an even or an odd number!

Stay well

As a one-off I don’t think it’s harmful to take one accidental extra dose. I often can’t remember if I’ve taken my inhalers. Although two of them have a counter I still can’t remember what number they were at 🙄 At least with pills it’s easier to put them in a weekly organiser so I can see if I’ve taken them or not. Wishing you all the best.

Not at all. My GP advised taking 2 doses if I ever had a flare-up, so it can’t be a problem.

Same as others have said - I wouldn't worry the odd time.

Call your pharmacist.

No, you shouldn't worry about taking it twice. My doctor told me I can take it more that the twice a day I'm prescribed if I need to. I've taken it three times before in one day and everything was fine. You should just mention it to your doctor next time you see them though.

Hi. I did this once and panicked a bit when I realised. Phoned my asthma nurse and she told me not to worry.🙂

Any problems you can always ring Asthma uk up and have a word with their Asthma nurses they can always advise you and you can talk to them about any other issues you have with your asthma they are there 9-5 Mon-Fri or if you're on twitter you can always send a message that way as well but it will be quicker if you ring them
