Osteoarthritis and lupus
I was wondering if anyone here has been diagnosed with both? I have lower back pain, but never had any X-ray that shows any degenerative changes. My rheumatologist mentioned last Thursday (over a phone appointment) that he thinks it is osteoarthritis in my lower back. I have significant morning stiffness

Advice on Flight Socks for travel
Maybe someone knows and can help with my decision, is there any advantage to Full Length over Knee High compression socks. If so does the advantage outweigh the discomfort of the full length socks. This is for a twelve hour flight and I have no particular leg problems just an Paroxysmal AF sufferer with

Ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper (last year) the daylight had often caused my early waking 🙄, and for a large portion of my life I was a sworn morning person..... Fast forward through life..... And that evil thing called a night shift has stolen my mornings grrrrr. But today I woke, sprightly

Bifrontal Cranioplasty
Hello, My mum had a Bifrontal decompressive craniectomy due to a severe TBI. She spent a month in a coma, is now GCS of 15 in intensive rehab and can talk, eat foods (albeit confused) and will soon be learning to walk. She’s progressing fast and really well. She had severe damage to the frontal lobes

Advice on stage 0 / 1 Lymphedema
I had radical hysterectomy 4 years ago. 25 lymph nodes where taken out of abdominal area. Have had leg/ feet swelling on and off. Nothing severe. But now it seems to affect my right thigh a bit. A little (D)hazed and confused 🙂
It has been a busy week at work with an even busier weekend on call coming up but I still managed to get my 3 runs in this week - a short speed interval run on Monday, a (not so) easy coulee run with hubby on Wednesday (ah yes, I remember what running with hubby is like - one speed - but I ran behind

So frustrated
I was involved in a Roadside Accident on 1st July 2009 at 9.50am, Teesside. I sustained 2 fractures to the skull & a bleed to the brain. I underwent a Right Frontal Craniotomy & Decompressive Craniectomy the next day which happened to mark my parents 28th Wedding Anniversary. I was discharged from hospital

Feeling great with compression
I have had tremendous success with compression socks. I wear regular compression socks during the day and thigh high compression stockings at night. I also take CBD oil, magnesium and other electrolytes, eat low carb diet, and.0625 mg Mirapex. I just started 100 mg Gabapentin...which I may discontinue

Advice for Summer?
I was diagnosed with lymphodema a few months ago, and have gradually gotten used to wearing thigh high compression stockings on my right leg. But I have to say I’m not looking forward to doing the same in the summer. What if it’s too hot for compression stockings? We own an inn and Summer is our high

How do you cope with work/family?
I was diagnosed with Vasovagal Syncope almost 6 years ago, when I was pregnant. The doctors didn't want to give me any medication as they weren't sure how it would affect my baby, so I spent my entire pregnancy in bed as everytime I stood up I fainted. It seemed to dissapear for nearly three years and

Reaction to contrast dye in CT Scan?
Has anyone had a reaction to the contrast dye used when having a CT scan? I had a scan on Thursday the first I'd had since being diagnosed with Lymphoedema and wearing knee high compression tights. Staff were aware of my condition and the only advice given was to drink fluids before hand and stop
