Hi the next installment, I got admitted as planned and the operation went well, the surgeon had to change from keyhole to open
surgery
as something wasn't quite right so it took a bit longer than expected about 4hrs 30.

surgery
to confirm correct email address.

I brought home my dog domino following acl
surgery
and am overwhelmed about his rehab routine. Massage, ice, meds, trips to vet daily for laser therapy, etc. for at least 8 weeks. Has anyone else been through this and have any coping skills to suggest?

I'm hoping to have minimally invasive
surgery
but don't know if it will be possible. Apparently, they can try minimally invasive, but have a team ready to "crack" the ribs if necessary. Any experience?

Can we trust AI analysis?
The first chose no ADT with radiation and the second chose 12 months of ADT after
surgery
and follow up radiation after PSA rise. I guess only time and luck will tell if that was the correct decision for each of us.

Anticoagulants
Just a quick question , I just realised my
surgery
is closed today (silly me) and I can’t pick up my latest prescription until Tuesday . I will run out of my anticoagulant Edoxaban tonight so I won’t be able to take any for the next 3 days .

Blood test results - best practice
The hospital provide labels, the tests are done at my
surgery
and the results are sent to the hospital. The overworked team there are reluctant to share the results and my
surgery
say they cannot see them. I understand that this may be because the computer systems are not compatible.

Thoracic Endo - advice needed
I had VATs
surgery
last year to treat a catamenial pneumothorax, but air still seems to be getting through holes in my diaphragm. My Thoracic surgeon has suggested having more major
surgery
to try to repair my diaphragm and remove any endometrial tissue.

hernia surgery options after Sbrt?
Only option was old school open
surgery
, with a longer recovery and higher risk of chronic pain. This seems wrong. Any input/experience would be appreciated.

Need practical advice re:RRP for 76 year-old in fair shape
We eventually chose
surgery
as he's also been in retention for many months due to a median lobe, he preferred that to doing a HoLep followed by radiation. So now I am just seeking practical tips for the post-
surgery
period.

18 days post circumcism
Hi guysI had my circumcism
surgery
18 days ago. I think the healing proccess is very slow. The suture has not fall of yet. But there is no pain and sign of infection. I apply antibiotic cream every day. I concern how it will look like after it completly cures.

Cold cap advice?
I've had
surgery
and about to start chemo tomorrow. Carbopentin only. They booked me a cold cap as I was originally going to have Carbo + Taxil which usually results in hair loss. Now the risk is lower so not sure whether you'd advise I use the cold cap or not. Has anyone had experience of this?

Epilepsy resulting from surgery to temporal lobe
Surgery
in 1989 showed they were benign epidermoid cysts which were removed. However, the craniotomy triggered epilepsy.... infrequent daytime absences and regular nocturnal seizures. Absences were quickly controlled with AED medication, but took 10 years to find clobazam.

Anxiety following acute health issue
I had emergency
surgery
to clear out a septic joint and ended up hospitalized for weeks. The pain was almost unbearable. Ever since the trauma, I have been bothered by "what if?" anxiety. What if my partner dies? What if I get another painful health issue? That kind of thing.

25th Park Run!
I couldn't walk til I was 4, have had 3 hip replacements and back
surgery
. I never ran before I was 69 and now I've done 25 Park runs. I'm feeling very proud of myself. I even knocked a minute off last week's time! It was a glorious morning. I just took it steady and enjoyed it.

Leave pelvic abscess and monitor?
Hi all, At gynecology appointment today the doctor said I could opt for
surgery
to remove abscess in fallopian tubes )and possible one ovary ) or I could leave for six months and just monitor how I get on , as I'm not in pain all the time.
