MRI prior to Radiation Treatments + HT
I was referred to an RO who, after reviewing my test results and prior history, indicated that there were some "cells left behind" near the prostate bed, even though they tried to get at them unsuccessfully during the
surgery
. He said this was not uncommon.

asthma
I've been on 5 mg bisoprolol since
surgery
. I seemed to have asthma after
surgery
certainly didn't have it before.

Seen my GP who says MART therapy is now used & suggested Fobumix inhaler Any thoughts?
Hi I posted last week after my Asthma review with a health care assistant at my GP
surgery
who basically tried to tell me to use my Fostair as both a preventer & reliever & tried to remove my Salbutamol Inhaler.

Hi, I had Open Heart
Surgery
for Mitral Valve prolapse in June 2022, Occular migraines started straight away, followed by 24/7 tinnitus which started in March of 2023, I am convinced there is a connection to the
surgery
, but who knows!

Belbuca and post surgical pain.
I am facing hip replacement
surgery
in a couple of months. I am concerned about post surgical pain since my understanding is that I will not be able to take any opioids post op. My surgeon and my PCP do not have any suggestions. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dental advice 7 weeks post AVR
Hi all, I’m 7 weeks post
surgery
after AVR, and feel I’m doing well so far. Unfortunately I managed to brake a tooth last night and am worried it might cause some sort of infection that could affect the new valve/heart.

Covid vaccination in England for 75 & over & those on 20mg steroids at this moment, & 20mg for over one month
The pharmacist explained that they have changed & are only available for those over 75, unless your doctor says you need one, & then you will be able to get it at your
surgery
(this is true, my husband is over 75 & is getting his at the
surgery
on Saturday).

laparoscopic 4 weeks ago bleeding
Stopped bleeding about a week after
surgery
, but have started bleeding again like a light period even though I am on the pill. I have been exercising more like swimming so could this cause it? Feel ok in self apart from some mild period type cramping & incisions look like they are healing well.

Coming off Prostap & Tibolone?
No hope of a
surgery
date any time soon, specially while I’m “comfortable” on Prostap (except I’m really not!). Not sure if I still want the hysterectomy/excision/separation
surgery
that I’m waiting for. Maybe once I find out how I am without Prostap, it will help me make up my mind!

Now been advised cancer has spread to both lungs 😔
I am getting some pain in my lung area and it's really worrying me 😔
Surgery
is still going ahead although my tumour has only shrunk slightly. 3 more chemos will follow. Has anyone else had spreading to the lungs & gone into remission eventually?

Knee Replacement Yesterday
I had full knee replacement
surgery
yesterday afternoon. On the advice of the surgical team I had my normal dose of Prednisolone in the morning. Epidural for the op and played nice music through my ear buds to drown out the sound of the team and the sawing and hammering 😬. All’s well.

Treatment - radiation vs. surgery
It's less invasive so no risks of
surgery
or anesthesia, no pain, no recovery time, no urinary catheter for a week after
surgery
and no significant difference in risk of ED (possibly more later vs more sooner with
surgery
).

pharmacy I switched to pharmacy2you and it has arrived within 2 days for the last 6 months. However this month it is 2 weeks late and I will run out soon and in phoning them I can’t get a reason why or a date I will get it.

Control endometriosis with diet?
Second time round when I went into hospital with pains I was offered an emergency
surgery
but I was scared to go ahead. I was not sure why I needed the
surgery
. I had asked for an MRI scan and from that it was revealed I have suspected endometriosis, kissing ovaries, adenomyosis and a large cyst.

Silent urinary tract infection
I was fortunate to be given open heart
surgery
mid feb to mend my heart (valve) and put it in good shape for future ops and quality of life. Fabulous surgeon/team. Recovery tough but was doing ok within 3 weeks of
surgery
- upto 1-1.5 miles walking.
