Stomach cancer confirmed
Although I was expecting this result It is still a bitter pill to swallow. Now the medical team will discuss my options. I may get to know their opinions in 5 days day. The thing is - what option would or should I choose if offered? 1) Gastrectomy if the surgeon is willing to take the risk at my age

Immediate Reconstruction Worries
I was diagnosed with DCIS 2/13/2019. I had a bilateral mastectomy on 03/14/2019 with immediate reconstruction of cohesive silicone implants. My implants are tight, pinching on one side and the other side I can feel the implant in on the side of my rib/chest wall. I need to note I am a obese female.

Worry about my health and a partner
Hi. Thank you for listening to me. I hope you all are happy and the anxious status would be improved. I’m really nervous about this, and I know that I shouldn’t have needed to worry but I can’t stop myself from worrying. I knew a guy, and I had unprotected sex with him. When I asked him if he was clean

Post Op Chemo - struggling
Hello all I had total gastrectomy in early January, came through quite well and am now 2 cycles in to FLOT and struggling, I knew post op would be harder but my oncologist has told me to consider calling it a day. The first cycle had me bed ridden for over 2 weeks with terrible sickness resulting in

I had an ablation in October 2016 which was successful until I had a mastectomy in January 2018 when I went into AF. Since then I have had a few episodes of AF which seem to be getting more frequent and lasting longer. I have recently seen a couple of Consultants privately and both are suggesting

Cancer cells returned in juncture of joining, after total gastrectomy.
Had difficulty swallowing, yet again, so endoscopy requested. They took biopsies and sadly turns out cancerous cells have been found. CT scan thankfully did not find anything so PET scan was done today. Now got to wait 4-5 days for those results. I am wondering if the cancerous cells could have been

Burning pain in back
Hello everyone Been ages since I have written on here and have been doing so well until just before Christmas where I started to get a funny sensation in my back. It feels like a burning feeling deep inside (as if it is an organ) It starts on the right hand side where my bra strap is and then goes down

Life after diagnosis, surgery and treatment
Hi All! I was diagnosed in Nov 2017. I had a mastectomy in Dec 2017 followed by chemo from January to May 2018. I had HER2 so continued Herceptin until Dec 2018. Now I'm on an Estrogen blocker for 5 years and getting back to "normal". After losing most of my hair I was brave enough to go without

Life after mastectomy
Hello! I'm looking for this who had a mastectomy and can share best bras, sports bras, swimsuits, and breast forms. I had one breast removed in Dec 2017. I do not care for the silicon prosthetic I was given. Bras do not stay in place. I currently am wearing a cotton filled pocket but that won't

BCS or Mastectomy
My wife is under going Chemo for her breast cancer and surgery is to follow after Chemo 4AC + 12 Taxol, Herceptin . Oncologist is asking us whether we want breast conservative surgery or Mastectomy. They need to fix some metallic marker in case of BCS. I invite suggestions or pros and cons of both!

Hospitals
So I have had a few issues health wise. I've had thyroid cancer and many a few minor health concerns. I have 2 kids with type 1 diabetes. I've seen the inside of hospitals more than I like. Thank God I live where I do or I am sure the bills would be horrendous! I grew up with a Mom who had a brain tumour

DIET POST GALL BLADDER REMOVAL
Peeps had his gall bladder removed, very successfully, two weeks ago today. I am having a bit of a struggle to understand what he can/cannot eat. Does anyone out there have any thoughts on a diet he can follow, short term and long term please?

Anastrozole and Turmeric with Pepper
I'm trying to establish if it's OK to take Turmeric/Pepper as I've been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and don't wish to take medication suggested by by rheumatologist - sulfasalazine. I had a mastectomy 3 years ago and currently taking Anastrozole.
