Hughes (antiphospholipid antibody) Syndrome, also known as "sticky blood".
In pregnancy, the antibodies can cause miscarriage, pre-eclampsia, small babies, early deliveries and
stillbirth
. This is because the "sticky blood" does not carry sufficient oxygen around the body to vital organs such as the brain or the placenta, in pregnancy.

My 6 yr old daughter tested
Honestly i would rather keep an eye out instead of waiting until a DVT, heart attack, Stroke, miscarriage,
stillbirth
or other symptoms and complication to happen. Please tell me your thoughts and if you have any info regarding this please please let me know. Thank you in advance for you comments

Staying pregnant after a stillbirth at 27 weeks.
Hello i just said hello and goodbye to my sweet baby boy carter who was stillborn at 27 weeks. I am 204 pounds, and was on a prophylactic dose of lovenox. (80 mg/ 2x daily) What did you ladies take to keep your babies in your belly? The autopsy came back as clots in the placenta. Thank you.

The number of cases of late pregnancy loss – ‘
stillbirth
’ – will be cut, thanks to the more routine testing of aPL in pregnancy – it is estimated that one in five cases of
stillbirth
are aPL positive. Enough for ten minutes, I suppose.

Just checking in ...
To temper that piece of good news somewhat, though, one of the girls in my team (who has had a very difficult pregnancy) finally lost her baby at 25-weeks, and had to have a
stillbirth
induced, so I have been dealing with her husband on the phone, and the multitude of paperwork for HR and paymasters.

Has anyone had surgery on a femoral artery clot? I'm newly diagnosed and confused after 2 recent stillbirthsx
We also lost another daughter to
stillbirth
early last year, Lilly-Mae. The night before I had Ella, I developed a clot in my femoral artery. I had numerous infusions from then until mid January this year after a lengthy stay in hospital. I had a check up yesterday, and the clots still there.

2012, reported that 20% - 1 in 5 - of all cases of
stillbirth
were associated with antiphospholipid positive tests (aPL) - a preventable tragedy.

APS positive since 2008 & SLE & Discoid Lupus. In DIscoid Flare now. Still no treatment 4 Hughes - most debilitating of all. Am I alone ?
Hughes can be traced back to 5 miscarriages (20+ weeks) &
stillbirth
@ 32 weeks approx. Blessed with girl before & boy prior to a Hysterectony at 27. This was due to fibroids and constant periods , 1988.

Broken bone
Hi I suffer from APS after a
stillbirth
at 27 weeks and other problems. Every few months it seems I get diagnosed with something new. The most recent one is alarming. I was having awful pain in my right foot and after begging for an xray as i could hardly walk, they referred me for a CT scan.

Emotions during pregnancy - what's common and how to cope
Some of the saddest episodes in people’s lives are related to the death of a baby or child; miscarriage, loss at a later stage of pregnancy or
stillbirth
can be devastating.

What should INR be for a person with APS? And Lupus Anticoagulent and APS the same?
I have not had a thrombotic event yet in my life, but did have multiple miscarriages and a
stillbirth
. I also had suffered from severe left-sided migraines, and was put on the aspirin and 75mg of nortriptyline.
