ferritin
hi, bloods back. My ferritin is 17. Even though I asked trans ferritin saturation not done. I think enough evidence with ferritin as it is to start taking iron tablets though. Should I push for a Trans ferritin saturation test? What value would it add? Thanks in advance

There is baldness in my family but this isn’t typical MPB. I can’t really afford a dermatologist but will speak to Gp to run a full

Blood results
I am wondering whether these latest results might shed some light on me waking very early in the mornings 0430 at the moment with night sweats and unable to get back to sleep and high blood pressure results at various times of the day. I am currently on 115mcg Levo and 10mcg of T3. I have an appointment

Hello, new here and hoping you can suggest a really good iron supplement that’s gentle on the tummy and vegan friendly. My daughter’s ferritin is 19.80 ug/L (Range: 30 - 169) Her other vitamins are also a bit rubbishy but I’ve got that covered. Thanks. 🥰

iron suggestions please
Would be grateful for recommendations for iron supplement for my daughter. She is vegan and her ferritin is on the low side. In fact her vitamins are all rubbish but I’ve got everything else covered. Something gentle would be preferred. thanks in anticipation 🥰🥰

Free T3 still low
Hi there I’m hoping someone can help. After my last test I asked my dr if I could increase my thyroxine as my conversion seemed poor. He said no. This is my latest test result. My T3 is the same but my T4 is higher. He now wants to reduce my thyroxine. I’m on 125mg and weigh 76kg I’m taking a 6000mg

Secondary Hypothyroidism
Hi all, I had tests on my thyroid last year which showed my T4 as slightly low on 3 different tests. My GP told me there wasn't anything to worry, nothing to follow up. Fast forward to now when my GP has referred me to a specialist for something else and listed in my medical history 'Secondary Hypothyroidism

Day 8 scan small follicles?
Hope everyone is doing as well as can be today. I had my day 8 scan. As background I’ve had FSH 450 units for 3 previous stims and only had around 4 decent follicles and triggered day 10, and low number of eggs retrieved (though a good blastocyst rate). This time we are trying oestrogen priming

T3 recommendation
I'm looking for a contact to buy T3. I was buying OTC from Italy but that became difficult so I have been on NDT for the last couple of years but the price is just going up and up. Would be greatful if some could DM any sellers of either T3 or NDT at a reasonable cost.

NHS Queues Mean Most Brits Expect To Pay For Healthcare.
I saw this the other day, it resonates with me. I currently have a structural, ongoing issue with my feet, due to Ehlers Danlos I have very flat feet which as I get older are causing me real jip. So I'm waiting for an NHS foot and ankle MRI to see if soft tissues are also involved. Its roughly a 4-

Best Place to Get Solid or Liquid Tumor Genetic Testing for Prostate Cancer
I saw the post with this heading but it’s 7 years old. I’d ideally like testing done on my husbands prostate after it’s removed. his 23& me test years ago says he does not have either of the BRCA genes, but there are many more I’m sorry if this has been already handled.

Ferritin concern
My Ferritin level is 126. I thought this was triggering my severe RLS since I had a total knee replacement in November , 2023. My RLS is off the rail . I want an Iron infusion, but the health group I belong to, does not believe I need this? I am traveling the next 2 months, will take Sinemet to use on

GP cholesterol results.
Hi folks, So I have just had my cholesterol test done by my GP with the following results. HDL - 1.5 LDL - 6.8 TRIGLYCERIDES - 1.7 Total 8.3 risk factor 26% They want to start me on Statins asap. I am keen to avoid drugs and believe that some of the increased numbers above could actually be good

Hello folks, Thank you for yesterday's responses. I had one response here yesterday from DD regarding my B12 and Ferritin levels. My question is if I'm having 4 x eggs per day then there's a food chance I've got B12 covered? Ferritin is another story as I've googled etc and it's confusing me. I had

appointment number 1
So. I told the GP I had RLS. He asked me what my diet was like, what my job was and got me to stand on my toes and then touch my toes. He had no questions on symptoms/severity. He did book me in for bloods. I asked if he was including ferritin and Transferritin saturation but he just said yes I did iron

Vitamin B12
In addition to my daily Thyroxine dose of 100mcg I have been prescribed Vit B12, 4000 mcg per day by my Endo. The chemist has dispensed Cyanocominn which I understand is a synthetic Vit B preparation and I am led to believe not a good idea to take. Should I insist the chemist dispenses only natural

Feeling fearful of appointment, should I increase pred?
