Afib, inflammation and NSAIDs
If there is any way I could come off DOACs I would love to so I could take NSAIDs again once I am off the
steroids
. In my previous posts I have stated that my Afib has never been confirmed, and I have never had any symptoms. I am wondering if NSAIDs might also help with Afib?

Update on Rheumy visit
I also asked about adrenals and she said that was another reason to reduce quicker as longer she is on
steroids
the harder it will be for her adrenals to waken up.

It took nearly a year of

Thanks to all here - split dose over 24 hrs evenly?
I know this is complicated in term of circadian rhythms and adrenal gc production but I would have thought taking all at once will produce an uneven level of
steroids
over 24 hrs whilst an overall level could be lower if spread out. Is that faulty reasoning ?Has anyone tried this ?

Good news about steroids!
Having had a massive weight gain on high dose
steroids
personally, followed by a very long battle to get my weight back down once on a maintanence dose and also requiring anti-hypertensive treatment, I found that very reassuring - as I cannot now come off the low (5mg) daily dose.

Very stiff knees and slightly puffy ankles
I have high BP and the
steroids
make that worse so there is pressure to reduce Pred. I am on quite a lot of BP meds. Thank you for everyone’s help.

continued pain
my wife is now on a heavy dose of morphine ,also
steroids
and zapains etc. All-still does not deal with the pain.I just don’t think we have got there, just yet-in terms of medications. Everyone is trying. I know that there are various trials in other Countries.

Fast forward to recently and in an effort to reduce the number of
steroids
I’m taking, I decided to give it another go. I lasted 4 weeks but have had a similar experience, so stopped about a week ago.

My experience at "Older Persons" clinic....
Was seen very quickly for bp and weight...bp always very high at any surgery......it was 180/80......it:s 150/70 at home...Anyway was then called in to see the doctor.......she talked about my bp and dizziness/balance....and everything according to her is because of

Shaking and 'nervy'
I've experienced shaking quite a lot since taking
steroids
for about eighteen months but now I seem to be in a constant nervous state, not "me" at all. I wake up by 5.00 every morning with my heart thumping and feeling shaky.

Sudden anxiety attacks and mood swing on first Prednisone taper
I’m still waiting for my rheumatology appointment, but meanwhile the GP prescribed
steroids
that are working well, where all other pain medication was not. So the joint pain is under control. We started tapering my dose to 15mg 5 days ago.
