Does anyone here use statins alongside fibromyalgia?? Or has anyone suffered any side effects from statins . Interested to hear . Thank you .

Just want it to feel normal and then today I’ve just had a phone call from the doctor asking me to come in as they’ve had my results of my cholesterol test so now I’m really worried about this why are they asking me to come in it’s got to be bad news and I’ve heard so many people say don’t take statins

Dr stipulated that I will not be put on statins again it would be to risky? Any advice please , feeling a bit worried. Have had uncontrollable diarrhoea since nov2020. Despite telling anyone and everyone about this and muscle cramps I’ve only just been listened too.

Has anyone experienced significant and sudden weight gain since starting to take statins, please? Would appreciate any advice or help with this.

All the blood tests picked up the fact that I had extremely high cholesterol so after 8 weeks on statins that has reduced from a shocking 10 to 5.3. They also found I have high blood pressure so on medication for that.

Hi I have just been told my cholestorol is 6.7 and the doctor wants to put me on statins ..i have heard and read nightmare stories about them has anyone managed to lower theirs with plant sterol capsules ? i know a healthy diet has to be followed as well

However I've just had the results from my first blood test since I've been on statins and I'm very pleased with the outcome- on 22nd April my total cholesterol was a shocking 10 but today it's down to 5.3! I'm amazed! Clearly the atorvastatin is working.

My Dr has said that I am eligible for Statins so am wondering if I should be taking them now. Any advice - and will they mix with he Prednisolone?

Now just on 125g Bisoporil, aspirin and Ezetimibe (can’t take statins) so happy to finally be moving forward after 3 courses of antibiotics for my leg wounds (5) still need a second pillow, having to lie on my back and paracetamol at bedtime ( love side sleeping but not quite there yet!)

Rang doctor on 20th may up to 10mg.Had bloods done everything was normal. still not improving so rang doc on 26 may he put me up to 12mg.On the 2nd of june my doctor rings and said leave of taking your statins to see if its them thats causing the pains also she told me to ring if smptoms become worse

and many other heart pills but think it’s being caused by the statins has anyone else had this problem?

A quick google has revealed some research findings that statins reduce serum TSH significantly so I’m wondering if any of you lovely folk can give me some advice before I speak to her. With thanks as always xx

TSH 24 Free T3 9 Vit D 28mg Iron 28mg Blood Sugar 6.2 Cholesterol 2.6/5.1 LFT/ KFT/B12 (good GP didn't give the results over the phone) After a 40 min conversation I know have Vitamin D tablets, Statins, Blood Pressure medication and contacting
