Tests tests tests!

After ending up in a&e with chest pains in April I've certainly had a full service and MOT from the brilliant NHS. Feeling really positive so far - heart ct scan didn't find anything wrong with my heart but picked up something in my oesophagus which meant I had an endoscopy. That picked up a tiny hiatus hernia which needs no treatment so that's good news. I'm still waiting for an echocardiagram but hopefully that will be ok too. All the blood tests picked up the fact that I had extremely high cholesterol so after 8 weeks on statins that has reduced from a shocking 10 to 5.3. They also found I have high blood pressure so on medication for that. All in all I feel very lucky that I've been thoroughly checked and the things that could have an impact on my health are being treated and monitored. Things could have been very different and I'm thankful for the care I've received from all the brilliant NHS staff I've been in contact with.

I'm sure many of us on this forum would agree with that. We owe those wonderful men and women, from the surgeons to the cleaners, so very, very much!

I have had the most amazing care in the last year. Had urinary Sepsis on 31 st May 2020. Dr fought for my life. Developed heart failure and silent heart attack on 24 th July 2020. The Dr's nurses ward assistants cleaners were wonderful in taking care of me. One artery had 15 blockages. 3 were almost totally blocked. Had to have bypass surgery. It was done on 14th Dec 2020. Pray every day for all the wonderful staff who looked after me. I'm doing good 👍👍
