Can weekly Taxol be effective when the current chemo regime has failed?

I was diagnosed in March 2018 with HG ovarian cancer and am now on my second recurrence. I've just had a call from my CNS to say that last weeks scan shows progression and I'm to change from Carboplatin to weekly Taxol. I'm completely gutted and shell shocked. My daughters are 14 and 18 and I can't believe I wont be here for them in the future. Has anybody had success with weekly Taxol when other drugs have failed?

Hi Ruth. I’m so sorry about your bad news but don’t give up hope. Have you looked at trials? I’m quite sure weekly taxol has helped others in your situation. Hang in there and investigate your options. Xx

Many in my support group are on Taxol weekly. One gal has been on it for over a year and doing great with a good quality of life. Another tried everything but nothing was helping her until she started weekly taxol. Her ca125 went from 750 to 70 after just 2 sessions! There is always hope!! God has a plan!! Don't give up !!
