Hi all looking for advice, i have puffy sore eyes for last two weeks and a mild constant headache. My last test result's seemed ok, is this a common problem with hypothyroidism? T3 3.4 (3.1-6.8) TSH 0.10 (0.27-4.2) T4 19.9 (10.5- 22) This was done in March I currently take 125mcg levythyroxine

W9R2 done
I didn't enjoy that at all. 73° and windy but more it was thar my legs felt heavy from start to finish. Think I had toxic tens from 0 -15 mins and 20 - 30 mins. Did consciously slow down once or twice when getting too puffed but I can confirm that having run for too long by accident last week has not

Anomalous results - follow up
Hello everyone, This is a follow up to my last post two months ago which described the anomalous results from two tests one NHS and one Medichecks only one day apart and both done following the usual protocol. These were done following an increase in levo to 100mcg on 1 June. As I expected when my GP

Carbohydrates and the thyroid
Is it important to consume complex carbohydrates daily to help aid conversion of T3? I know proteins and healthy fats are important too but I don’t always consume a lot of carbohydrates or maybe not enough? I take thyroxine only and have recently posted about below range T3 but normal T4 and TSH

TENS advice
Can those who have had success with TENS share where they put the pads? I know we are all different but I would benefit from some experience. I tried them on my feet for 15 minutes each foot last night without any success. Thanks.

folate vs folic acid
I’ve been searching for a post that says not to take folic acid if your folate level is low. My daughter’s folate level is 2.95 (side effect of netformin)and her b12 is only 283. Hee GP has given her folic acid and will only repeat after 1 yr! Madness. Her tsh is 0.9 and they didn’t test t4 or t3.

subclinical hyperthyroidism
Hi everyone, I have had subclinical hyperthyroidism for a few years with my TSH results going in and out for a while. The last couple of years they have been just out of range consistently so my NHS endocrinologist put me on carbimazole 5mg but it didn’t suit me. I’ve now been on Propylthiouracil 50mg

Tens pain relief
Hi all I'm just looking for any information on the beurer em50. I've been looking everywhere for a storage case to make it better when carrying it round with me. Does anyone have any links or anything suitable if you use this too? I know this may not be the best forum but unsure where to ask. Thanks

I picked up a book and turned the page. My recovery had begun.
I was lucky, the author was later described as 'the woman who cracked the anxiety code'. She was nominated for a Nobel Prize for her major contribution to helping so many recover from anxiety disorder. She did this through her short books, consultations, newsletters and public appearances in person

Prep for GP appointment update
I hope you can bear with me on this one. Following on from my last post re prep for my GP appointment I was dissapointed with the general way the consultation went (they were new to the GP practice ) Although I didn't expect him to agree to testing my Vit D, Folate, Ferritin I did hope he would agree

Advice please re B12 to supplement or not
Following covid in July I have been experiencing tingling in feet and hands. I've left it until now in the hope it would resolve and while it has lessened it is still there. I currently take 100mg t4 and 10ug t3. GP blood test results 17 August : HbA1c 34mmol/mol (20-41) TSH 1.46 mu/L (0.3-4.2)
