4 years after thyroidectomy

total thyroidectomy for papillaire carcinoma my tsh is 0.5 on levo 75 Thyroglobulin =1 after my USS found a little nodes in thyroid area noother nodes detected my endo whant me to be off levo 1 month to do scintigraphy is there any other way to kow if my cancer is back . After total thyroidectomy you couldn’t possibly manage even a week without daily replacement thyroid hormones

Suggest you find a different endocrinologist

I can't see this being a viable option - without a thyroid and without any form of thyroid hormone replacement for a month ?

Did your doctor suggest you do the LID diet prior to scan? You can also take a shot (can’t recall the name) if my memory serves me you still have to be off meds maybe not as long with the injection …. Lid diet is important for scan and Facebook has excellent group (LID DIET).

Nuclear scan does require us to be off our meds because you have to swallow a radiation pill so the scan can pick up.
