Do my blood test results indicate a Thyroid issue?
Hi and Happy New Year! I am new to the forum and looking for some advice. I recently had thyroid blood tests due to symptoms and a goitre. The results have come back but my GP said nothing can be done but I could be headed towards a thyroid issue in the future with the high Antibodies. I have been feeling

Looking for advice for my daughter.
Hi it's me again but this time I'm looking for advice for my daughter who has had Hypothyroidism since a teenager. Now 45. I've told her she needs to increase her thyroxine but thought I would ask the experts. They have never tested her T4 or T3. Her vitamins were tested last in October 2022 which

Low T4 still.
My FT4 result continues to be quite low, I would welcome advice on my medication. SlowDragon, I think you have commented in the past. I would value your opinion now. I have been unsure what to do as there seem to be many warnings about atrial fibulation. FT4 14.6 pmol/L (9.0 - 23.0) FT3 5.4

Feeling cold despite overactive thyroid
I feel the cold all the time but GPs can't seem to find an issue. I'm currently in a heated home with three jumpers and two pairs of socks on, plus a blanket! GP did full blood tests, showing an overactive thyroid but all other tests within range (detailed below). I take 100mcg Levothyroxine a day and

Collagen powder and increased stiffness?
Recently, my husband experienced a distressing episode of extreme stiffness. He described it as a sensation of having someone squeeze him at the base of his brain (he had DBS in 2022), causing him to feel extremely stiff in his head, shoulders, neck and arms. In general, stiffness is his issue, but

Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Cellular hypothyroidism v glandular hypothyroidism. A Paper.
Those of you that know anything about me will know that I regularly rant about cellular T3. Over 7 years with invaluable support from a small group of well informed and experienced members here ( thank you...you know who you are!) I have been able to research my challenging thyroid condition and discover

Reverse t3
I am thinking of ordering a private blood test to check my full thyroid status, as I am having symptoms but not sure it is thyroid related, or something else. My gp currently only tests my tsh to check up on my levels, I am currently taking Thyroid-S, which are always in the reference range. So I have

#1 Symptom Reducer
I am a PwP and 56 years old. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of the information, sometimes conflicting, out there regarding treatments and supplements. I am trying to determine what to try first. I am a predominantly tremor parkie. I exercise regularly & eat well. I take levadopa 25/100 4x a day.

Never going to A and E again, 5th visit.
I was feeling so ill yesterday i went to A and E again. I showed them my private blood test, oxygen levels and my neck. They said they had to do their own bloods and did TSH after i had just eaten and at 1pm. I said this would not be accurate but they did not agree. (2.95). They then said my saturation

interpreting results
Hi everyone, I’ve recently ordered a blood test to check my TSH, T4 and T3 levels. I’m also having my antibodies, ferritin, vit D, B12 and folate checked aswell. I’m fine interpreting the results of the vitamins and minerals, and I also understand that the higher the TSH the more underactive you are

The new consultant( moved area) says that dose will damage my heart. Don't want to feel awful again. I have no heart problems presently

Are meds causing symptoms?
Morning all,I'm experiencing some symptoms that are probably caused by my medication. So after a long journey not feeling well since pace and ablate, and recent blood tests showed my thyroid TSH levels were low and BNP levels 3x higher than normal and still have AF. Had a radioactive scan on thyroid

Need help, reassurance, explanation anything!
Hi everyone, I'm very new here and I'm still in a little bit of shock and trying to process everything at the minute. I am 7 months postpartum and have a beautiful 7 month old baby boy! He's wonderful, but the entire pregnancy was not! I suffered hyperemesis for 6 months with multiple hospital stays
