I recently had surgery for
Spinal
Stenosis
in my lower back, but on coming out of hospital developed a dvt in my leg. Due to this blood clot I have been put on Rivaroxaban (blood thinners).

I was due to go back on the Saturday, but on the Thursday I callosped with my back, end up in hospital for 2 weeks, I’ve got
spinal
stenosis
, nerve damage, neck compression, so waiting to see the surgeon at Nottingham. So I’ve been sat a lot only getting up for 30 mins a time, can’t do much more.

“Armchair Exercises”
I suffer from arthritis, scoliosis and

. Is there an exercise programme that I can follow from a chair? One that will suit me better!

hypothyroidism and peripheral neuropathy
The
spinal

of course will remain. Nothing else in the suggested triggers for peripheral neuropathy fits for me.

I'm 64 years old with a painful back problem (lumbar
spinal
stenosis
, spondylosis and spondylolisthesis). While I wait for an appointment at the Pain Clinic, I was recommended by the musculoskeletal specialist to try a drug called gabapentin.

Finally got my Neurosurgeon appointment!
I have cervical myelopathy and
spinal
stenosis
, with osteophytes pushing into my
spinal
cord. Surgery should be within the next 6-8 weeks. I’m currently taking Leflunomide and Hydroxychloroquine and spoke to the Rheumy nurse yesterday about whether I stop them for surgery.

Buprenorphine Patches
I’ve recently been prescribed Buprenorphine Patches for Severe
Spinal
Stenosis
. ( Heart Failure also so can’t take traditional pain relief) Is anyone who’s had experience of using these patches able to advice me how long they take to give relief.

Drs say I have
spinal

and need
spinal
surgery. Don’t want that. Has anyone gotten relief from anything else. Did epidurals. They are hit and miss. Thanks.

Possible Outcome of Severe Spinal Stenosis
I had a Laminectomy for Severe
Spinal
Stenosis
which initially worked but has now failed and is worse than before. I had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair and have now been diagnosed with heart failure so I’m not able to take any of the normal pain relief medication.

Tramadol versus Buprenorphine Patch.
Just a short post as I’m getting very depressed by constant pain from Severe
Spinal
Stenosis
. I had a Laminectomy which failed (Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair also) now diagnosed with Heart Failure so no “normal” painkillers.

Burned Nerves for Spinal Stenosis..
Morning everyone, I had a temporary nerve block the other day in 6 points around my spine. It seemed to work, the surgeon mentioned the next step would be to burn the nerves but this would only give 6 months - 1 year of relief. I just wondered if anybody here has had this done?

What do I do when I get to Zero Pred?
[Another health issue, shown from scans, is probable 'chronic
spinal
stenosis
' in lower spine . Just paracetamol for that. This actually causes me more problems (severe discomfort both legs) than the PMR. Seeing a consultant in March (NHS!) to see what he thinks....]
