Arrhythmia advice/support?
Hi - I’m fairly new here. I feel in the minority sometimes with the way that my arrhythmia episodes present, so I’m reaching out for some support or advice and to see if anyone else experiences similar to me. My Cardiologist has indeed described me as an anomaly! Apparently I have some scarring on

My PAF episodes have suddenly changed in duration.
Two weeks ago I got Norovirus, and the vomiting was a story in itself. At the same time it triggered my AFIB, blood pressure plummeted and I was very fatigued, dizzy and unable to do much. These episodes usually happen about every 3 months and have always lasted 3 days. This time it is 2 weeks now

Hospital stay for dofetilide loading
Wish me luck. Heading to the hospital tomorrow for a change in meds. Have been on sotalol for a few years and it really wears me down, particularly in warm weather. It’s also started to fail more often. :( New med is dofetilide, I know that’s not available in the UK, I’m in the US. My EP has been suggesting

Heat and afib
In March I passed out a couple times, the 2nd time, I was fortunate to be already hospitalized with rapid afib following my first syncope. I went into sustained vtach@ heart rate 275 and went into cardiac arrest. I now have a pace maker/defibrilator because my resting heart rate is 50. I take Sotalol

Metoprolol
I have been on Digoxin, Flecainide and Sotalol without any good results but lots of side negative effects. New Cardiologist (an AP) has directed me to stop Flecainide and Sotalol and take Metoprolol instead... I'm not feeling much better, still on AF most of the time and a feeling of fainting. Any comment

IS sorta lol an old drug?
Hi, I’ve just read a members comment that Sotalol is rarely used anymore, I thought it was quite a new drug for some reason. I take it plus Apixiban, Lipitor and Letrozole. I have all sorts of dizziness/ tinnitus/ hair loss/aches and pains and would love to know which drug is the culprit! Could it

REDUCING SOTALOL LEVEL
Has anyone decided to cut back on the amount of prescribed Solalol? I am prescribed 80mg (40 mg twice a day), but since I rarely experience an event (usually trigger by alcohol) I have been breaking one of the pills in half to reduce the 80 mg by 25%. Currently, after a month, no issues, but maybe a

Tiredness
I walk my dog between 3 and 5 miles a day and do core exercises at the gym twice a week so I think I should have a fair amount of energy. But I don’t! I wake up tired, I have episodes of feeling really tired throughout the day and am likely to fall asleep if I read in the afternoon or when I’m watching

HELP! I’m afraid to take this medication.
Has anyone taken amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium? Does it cause any issues with afib? I also take sotalol. It is an antibiotic.

AF meds and Valium
Hi all, don't remember asking this first because I'm super worry but, please, anybody has been prescribed Valium when on Digoxin, Flecainide, Sotalol? It appears to relax me and have better sleep, and I only have it some time. I don't think it affects me as it does to others. The Cardiologist prescribed

Aflutter getting me down.
Hi I would like some advice. I have had Afib for 5 years and was managing well on Flecanide. I had the odd breakthrough but as a whole I coped well on the drug. Then I developed atrial flutter out of the blue. I am not sure if Flecanide caused it or not. Since then I would say things have been tough.

Sotalol experience
I was prescribed Sotalol 80 mg to take twice a day. Need some advice....whats the best way to take it in the morning...before breakfast or after? I like a cup of decaf coffee in the morning any advice. Still nervous about the whole afib thing. Would appreciate if I hear some individual experiences.
