Currently in a pretty strong flare up for first time in a while and I wondered what everyones go too and when in a flare up. Mine so far: Buscopan Cold wet flannel Imodium instants (hate the taste of these!) Various layers of pillows and weighted blanket on my stomach My favourite music playlist

Radium 223 instead of enzalutamide
My dad mentioned that he’d like to come off enzalutamide because of always feeling tired and the doc has agreed and is now starting him on a course of Radium 223. The aim is to target 2 small bone mets and bring them under control. Apparently they are becoming more active so the enzalutamide hasn’t held

I am 78 yo , stage 5, and getting my fistula installed next week. I take BP meds, potassium binder, phosphorus binder with few other meds. I am not diabetic. My question is. Can HD remove potassium, phosphorus and sodium and lower my BP without meds?. I am very nervous. Your input will be highly appreciated

still decompensated after 5 months any hope?
my partner diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis on 22.12.21. Stopped drinking that day, 5 months later eating healthy high protein low salt, doing everything he has been asked. At the start sodium was dangerously low so he couldn't take water tablets - now his sodium is back within normal levels whilst

Test Results Are In and There’s Improvement
Hi All, Yesterday, I had my first urinalysis and a renal panel done. This was the last step to take before being referred to a nephrologist. Well, it’s not likely I will be referred now because my creatinine went from 1.13 a year ago to 1.05 yesterday. My GFR went from 52 to 56. (Calculated using

Blood results
Might anyone have any thoughts please? Do I need to act on these results? Fresh blood results all normal although I am still suffering from daily fatigue and brain fog. I am currently on Levo 25 - reduced from 50 last year as I was having heart flutters. TSH 2.57 mU/L normal [down from 4.55 Feb 1st]

ferrous sulphate giving me terrible stomach cramps
I'm really struggling with stomach cramps from ferrous sulphate.. my gp originally had me on 200g 3 times per day... when my level rose from 17 to 60 he said to stop taking them. Within a week my ferritin had dropped to 38 so I'm back to taking just 200g once a day. Has anyone else tried ferogloblin

Depressed and desperate
I haven’t written in a while but I read all of the comments. New neurologist who aligns with the mayo clinic philosophy. After a painful weaning off of pramipexole I was actually doing great on 1200 mg of gabapentin and .50 mg of clonazepam. I take oral iron and my ferritin level is around 52, which

Advice please
I’m currently on holiday so away from my GP Surgery. On 1st July I started having whooshes of the bottom. Despite eating bland food, I am easily having to dash to the toilet at least twice an hour. Tried taking Imodium seems to work for 4 hours then I am back to square one. 😭needless to say all my muscles
