Diarrhoea all night
I have been awake all night with the most painful diarrhoea of my life. I suffer from IBS-D and can manage it fairly well but I think this could be a stomach bug/ food poisoning. I would usually be on the Imodium but as I don’t think it’s ins related I want to try and let it run it’s course and flush

Advice on supplements after blood tests.
On 17th April I had numerous blood tests following a visit to the doctors to discuss my extreme tiredness and hair loss. I was subsequently diagnosed with an under active thyroid but I wonder if any one can look at the other test results and suggest some supplements. I've entered my subsequent thyroid

Health in the land of unintended consequences. Do you know about the risks of dietary supplements?
It is said that death and taxes are the only constants but we should include the Law Of Unintended Consequences as a universal truth. For patients this is particularly true. We want to be well but every decision carries the potential for things we didn't expect. How bad is it? It has been projected

Sodium bicarbonate
Ive been taking half a tsp sodium bicarbonate for the past few weeks as I read an article suggesting it helps with inflammation and may be helpful. I'm happy to report a significant improvement in morning stiffness and turning over in bed throughout the night. As it tastes so vile I've been taking it

Advice on blood results pls
Further to my previous post I had my bloods done re: possible adrenal issues / anxiety poor coping mechanisms with stress. The results are below. Plan of attack after Chemo
I am 17 years in the battle after surgery failed to cure me, Gleason 8, no mets at the time of Surgery. In the past 17 years, I threw every drug in the book at it, including some treatment with Dr Charles E Myers (Leukine, Keto, and estrogen patches) and that gave me a very long remission after Lupron

Thyroid problem
Hi I have been to the doctor on and off for months with symptoms of severe fatigue, muscle weakness, nausea and joint pain. Finally I went through blood tests which came back with borderline level of vitamin D and thyroid ‘all fine’ apart from it working extra hard to produce the hormone. Surely this

TURP scheduled tomorrow - concerns
Hi everyone, have this op planned for Monday in UK and wondering if it will help me. I can pee about 50% flow these days and the main reason they want to do it is to get a tissue sample for the Royal Marsden so they can genetically sequence the disease and see if I qualify for any drug trials (no biopsy
