5 year old, no longer constipated, but is scared to poo and withholds it
Hello all. Our 5 year old son was constipated 10 days ago but we gave him movicol and suppositories and got all the backlog out. However, he is now refusing to let his soft poo come out. He is shouting from pain and is in a very bad mood and is unpleasant to be with (very different from his regular character

I might not be fine on T4 only after all
This is a post I did not expect to be writing, but I may be about to join the T3 crowd for good. This post is mostly descriptive, and is intended as an update, given my previous assertions that I am well on T4 alone. Latest blood test showed a drop in fT3 to 5.1 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8). This is despite my

Has anyone found a way to manage their asthma symptoms naturally? I have heard good things about using cromolyn sodium - Ital for asthma .
I've tried several different inhalers all giving me side effects. So I'm trying to manage my symptoms naturally by changing my diet...no grains, dairy, sugar or alcohol. So far my symptoms are lessen. I also have heard about people taking Ital in their neb for maintenace. I'm trying Nasacrom as I've

Experienced of starting with betaine hcl for acid reflux/heartburn
Hi, I have acid reflux for years, been on and off PPIs but I’m just sick of it. I’m only 29 so I’m trying to cure myself. I did bicarbonate test and didn’t burp for 8 or so minutes. Even then it was like little bubbles in throat not a proper burp. Anyway, I did a lot of research online about low stomach

Normal TSH result. Where to go from here?
Been suffering with extreme tiredness and fatigue of late, along with various other hypothyroidism symptoms. Got bloods done at GP, only thyroid testing was TSH, and results were normal. But I still feel awful. Where do I go from here? Is it worth getting other thyroid tests when my TSH isn't even slightly

As you can see from the title what this post is about... I have a holiday booked at the end of July and another holiday mid September, both occasions I will need to fly. The last flight I went on the Imodium I took didn’t work and I found myself sat in the airport awaiting my delayed flight absolutely

Ear drops have brought on Tinnitus.
Had blocked ears so started
Sodium
bicarbonate
drops but since then severe ringing (which makes watching TV difficult) has started I think in one ear. Syringing was unsuccessful yesterday so a further two weeks of the drops has been prescribed before the ringing.

Tried every drug named here.
Hi everyone. There is not a drug on a post here that I have not tried. I even forgot some of them since I have been a long time sufferer of rls. The only thing that has worked for me is that I have given up bottled water. It is loaded with sodium. I am also extremely careful with snacks that have “flavor

Recently Diagnosed with stage 3b CKD
Hello, I thought that I would share my story in the hope that it might help others that are going through the same thing. I was diagnosed with stage 3 about three months ago or so. I must admit that at first I really didn't grasp the whole concept of having kidney disease and I was a little confused

Avoiding Cramps
Morning all, I completed the Rome marathon on Sunday, which happened to be my fifth marathon. As I had been suffering from a cold, I had no expectations, just the intention to finish it. I decided to start at 5.50/km, and try to maintain it for as long as possible, and every 45 minutes I took a gel with
