Stopping calcium while on radium 223

Anyone have info on stopping calcium two weeks before starting radium 223,I read it somewhere

One cancer center offers this advice:

"We advise you to avoid taking calcium supplements for seven days before the radium therapy. You can re-start these two days after the radium therapy."

I would also avoid dairy & calcium-fortified foods.

Yes, certainly cut it out. Calcium competes with radium for bone sites.

Refraining from calcium would seem to make logical sense.

Though complexe biological systems often follow their own logic, which they often give only with expensive clinical trials.
