Hey everyone. Hope you all sunday has been good to you! So I'm sad depressed and lonely. I'm seeing a therapist about the depression and reading books. Some of the things people say is maybe join some groups on meet up with activities you like. In my head it sounds like a great thing to do. I'm

I'm paralyzed with
social
anxiety
and depression ALLLLL the time. I used to be so
social
and had so many friends...we live in a new state (GA...north of Atlanta from Orlando, FL) since late January of this year...but, I never do anything anymore... my husband even questions if I'm "anti-social"...

Fighting anxiety is futile. So do the opposite instead.
Every time you experience your symptoms (whether it's health
anxiety
,
social
anxiety
or general anxiety) you start pumping out fear hormones and these contribute to the over sensitisation of your nervous system.

Social anxiety and depression
I just want to come across as an open, friendly caring person it’s just my damn
social
anxiety
gets in the way!!! I’m so upset and angry right now. I hate myself. I’m going to counselling and have been for years but I feel like I’m just deteriorating.

Newbie, Social Anxiety
I waited a long time before getting any help for my
social
anxiety
(33, male). I've never had friends and have lived my life alienated from other people because I don't know how to connect and have a lot of trouble selling myself to other people or feeling worthy. I have an avoidant personality.

Do Something Crazy!
Hey everyone! I hope you are all well! Just wanted to share a little Inspo. We all need to amp up the excitement in our lives to fight depression, no? Get a tattoo, belly ring, etc! LOL. I dyed my hair blue. It helps, I feel like a completely different person. Get out of your comfort zone! Do something

Social Anxiety
My life is so contradicting with the fact that I love to talk and have an input on things yet I somehow manage to be socially anxious talking to people. I could tell I have a way of talking to people and making it awkward no matter how hard I try to just be cool or act like myself it feels like the other

Awkwardness and social anxiety
Hi all, It's been a long time since I've posted here and things have been getting better. I'm getting better at staying less nervous and have been doing mediation and other practices. I just wanted to ask you guys any tips for social awkwardness. I know the only way is to be around people more, but it's

CBD oil topic of research
It is also being recognized as a treatment for
social
anxiety
? I also read that people with RA have twice as many inflammatory receptors and it is a good anti inflammatory. For me, I have many drug allergies which make alternatives a necessity.

Question about essential oils, and Epsom salt.
So I have some essential oils, herbal teas (peppermint tea), Epsom salt (for baths), and Himalayan crystal salt lamp. One of these oils is lavender and I put it under my nose, and it helped me relax. I haven't used the Epsom salt yet, but have used the lavender oil, peppermint tea, and Himalayan crystal

I don’t feel happiness anymore
This past weekend I came into contact with 8 people I’ve never met before & stayed with them the whole weekend, which having
social
anxiety
doesn’t help much with that. On top of that I got into a really depressive state where I felt and still feel worthless, ugly, etc.

W3R1 - over too soon
I only mention this because I’ve had some huge issues with
anxiety
(health and
social
) and I’ve come a long way after a few months of counselling thanks to the awesome NHS (hate to get political here but it’s a gift and we really need to protect it).

Felling extra anxious today
I’m already envisioning what they’re already thinking of me and as someone with
social
anxiety
and I’m nervous they’re gonna think I’m awkward because I’m just really bad at keeping conversations alive and interacting, I usually isolate myself. Ugh
