Fostair causing coughing?
I have been diagnosed with asthma, either atopic asthma or non-asmatic allergic bronchitis in February of last year, had one appointment and now followed by a consultant vis phone appointments. I was on Clenil 100, 2 puffs 2x a day, and having sore throat, hoarse voice, etc. After a trial of montelukast

Covid vaccine
So today I was booked in to have my Covid vaccine- I’m CEV frontline NHS worker currently shielding. I swear my lungs knew that something important was happening, so perfectly timed they decided they need some attention! My peak flow was slowly heading in a downwards trend, and I woke up Thursday morning

When do I... 🤔🤔
Hi everyone. Another (hopefully quick) infomercial post, to (hopefully) clear up any uncertainties people have about when the should be doing certain things. So without further ado; WHEN DO I TAKE MY RELIEVER? When you’re symptomatic 😉. If you’re in a coughing fit (that feels asthma-ry), wheezing,

Slowly doing a Christmas bingo tick recovery 5K 🎶🎄🎅
Felt like I needed to run a slow 5K today just to keep the legs moving after a stressful late night working led to problems getting to sleep, I'm tired today 😴... so I set off with coach Bennett's cold run and Michael Bublé's Christmas as background music 😁 I sang along to Santa Claus is Coming to

Asthma control post covid - are my expectations unrealistic?
I had covid in march. My previously well controlled asthma isn't anymore. I am currently on fostair 2 X 200 am and pm, braltus, montelukast, cetirazine, dymista and ventolin. I've had 4 short courses of pred since April and am now on a one month reducing course. I was referred to the local hospital

Asthma advice
Hi I had coronavirus mid October and subsequently had issues with my asthma - tight chest, breathlessness, a weird ruttle / flutter when I breathe. I've had my medication changed to 1 x fostair 100 in the morning and montelukast in the evening to clear the cough/mucus. My peak flow is still around 350

Covid and o2 sats
Tested positive for covid. Not been too good but I think I might be over the worst. We shall see. Cant get my oxygen sat levels above 92 but dont feel wheezy. But chest is heavy. Peak flow well down too, usually 400 now 284 or there about. Should I be talking to dr again. On oral steroids for one more

Swings in peak flow between pm to am
Hi! I’m just wondering if there was any reason for me have such swings in my peak flow between from morning to the night. So for eg in the morning it’s around 340 then at night it’s around 420 . I am more symptomatic in the morning & know it is normal for it to be lower in am to pm, but should it be

A bit fed up
In the context of a global pandemic I probably shouldn’t grumble, but I’m a bit down after a phone consultation with my gp this morning. My asthma was diagnosed as severe after a nasty chest infection and (mild) pneumonia around Christmas 2019. Since then I’ve accumulated medications - now on Fostair
