HEART in the THROAT sensation is bothersome, I find taking Lorazepam 1mg 3X a day calms me down and makes it much less noticeable.
Now 2 months after being diagnosed with AFIB (most of the time per my BP monitor) and I'm trying to deal with it. I guess the throat sensations are Ectopic Beats/PVC. As a caregiver to my adult son who has a brain injury, OCD and Epilepsy, I have anxiety for his future when I'm gone. This doesn't help

terrible pain after firmagon shots. Why? Suggestions?
Mayo doctor switched me to firmagon. 2 shots in belly yesterday. Unremitting and awful pain started in 5 minutes and has been unrelenting. Am told to go to emergeny roon, after vomiting blood last night, but want someone who is up on firmagon and not throwing darts at a dart board of possibilities

How do you deal with RLS?
Hello, I’ve been dealing with RLS for at least ten years. At times, it keeps me up for hours. Currently I’m taking 3mg of Ropinirol at bedtime, and have also tried Mirapex. Some nights it works and other nights nothing helps. I’ve tried bathing, massage, walking, cold packs, etc. If anyone had advice

Fatty tongues could be main driver of sleep apnoea.
A sleep disorder that can leave people gasping for breath at night could be linked to the amount of fat on their tongues, a study suggests. When sleep apnoea patients lost weight, it was the reduction in tongue fat that lay behind the resulting improvements, researchers said. Larger and fattier tongues

Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Hello, I am 48, I have MS and I was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer, grade 3, with lymph node involved. I have just finished with 2/4 AC with 12 weeks of taxol after. I am waiting on gene studies to make a decision on lumpectomy vs mastectomy after chemo. What are others thoughts

How Sleep Apnea Differs in Women
At the 39 minute mark of this podcast there is an interesting piece on how sleep apnea can be different in women and the overall AHI numbers may not be the best measurement. Apparently women often have an issue with REM. This is exactly what happened in my sleep study. I had a large number of apneas

My best gift! The NHS gave me a Darth Vader mask!
After years of complaining of being tired all the time the doc sent me to the pulmonary sleep clinic. After a sleep test at home they studied my results and called me in to the clinic on the 24th Dec. I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome, ( prob not spelt that right) with a score of

Cholera vaccine before LU177?
I'm doing my 3rd LU177 infusion in 2 weeks at TUM. I'm also scheduled to receive my Cholera vaccine next week (Vaxchora). Thinking about postponing the vaccine till a couple of weeks after LU177. I read somewhere there maybe a potential drug interaction. Any thoughts?

Possible preventative mastectomy
Hi, following treatment for stage 4 ovarian cancer I found out I have the BRCA1 gene. I was tested due to my age at diagnosis and family history of breast cancer. I’m now considering preventative double mastectomy with reconstruction. I’m due to see the surgical team on Friday to discuss my options.

Christmas Surprise
Last night I received the best Christmas present ever - the news that I am going to be a grandma again! I couldn’t wait to share this news with you all, my MS family. Could use every one’s prayer, though, as this is a high risk pregnancy. We almost lost my daughter-in-law and baby when little Emily

Forgive me...
After my last post, two respondents mentioned this site is meant for this with MBC. I had no idea! I thought it was a support network for all who have been diagnosed with all stages of BC. I am so very sorry if my "pity party" offended those who have it much worse than I. During this journey, I have
