Symptoms a year after CABG, 20 months after Heart Attack.
I would be interested in the experiences of others relating to the aftermath of CABG surgery. Potted history: From around summer 2017 when aged 60, I started to feel a mild tingling and "tight" sensation sometimes under my left ribs, sometimes in my back around the same height. It continued on and

Does the anxiety ever go away?
Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend. It is now nearly 12 months since I had my heart attack and my CABG x 4. . The road has been bumpy since then. What with challenges with changing medications and wondering if each twinge or slight pain is another heart attack. The main problem I seem

Heart attack I didn’t know about?
I’ve just come back from seeing my cardiologist who said I’m doing pretty well following my quadruple CABG 6 weeks ago but wants me to do some stress tests because I’ve used my gtn a couple of time since. The big thing is now we had time to chat as my surgery was pushed through really quickly following

Doing the Plank post CABG?
hi i am 6 months post quad CABG and in a good place fitness wise. i want to do some more core exercises so was thinking of the plank which I did pre-op. Question, when just lying on my front on a hard carpeted floor I can still feel pain in the centre of my chest which I understand is normal.

2 Years Ago:
2 years ago, I had enjoyed a successful CABG x 3 & a New/ Rebuilt Aorta courtesy of an 11 1/2 hour op. It transpires that was the easy part! 2 years last night I was to suffer stroke, sepsis & a virus that chewed away at my upper lip. My throat became totally blocked, requiring a tracheotomy and I

Boron
Anyone know if boron and strontium citrate are okay to take together? Perhaps only one is better than the other. I have mild osteoporosis but am trying to aid a lumbar bone graft fusion from surgery 3 months ago. I take d3, k2, strontium citrate and biotin. I also am on Gabapentin for nerve pain. I

Hi all. I had triple CABG almost 4 months ago and im fine, getting good exercise. I have no problems but feel bit bad for not eating as well as i could all the time. Most of time im good, but not perfect. My question is how quick could arteries clog up again if you dont get your butt in gear? Thanks

Heart Failure post CABG, collaterals
CABG is supposed to help us but i see most of us having heart failure post CABG. I knew that collaterals that we develop are like natural bypass and it protects us but in spite, of that I went for CABG and i have heart failure ever since. I regret that I did not take multiple opinions. Wanted to hear

Stamina and keeping vertical all day !
Hi - I'm 5 months post CABG, I returned to work 4 weeks ago in school- it was difficult mentally the first few days but that's improved. I still can't manage a whole day without needing to be horizontal for at least half an hour, not necessarily napping. I'm on my feet most of the day or sitting at my

On Benapali. Fungal infection treatment advice needed.
I’m on Benapali for 6 months and my RA is under control. However I have developed some mild fungal infections; Ringworm on Face, fungal infection on toenails, and start of athletes foot. Has anyone had more than 1 of these infections simultaneously and if so how were they treated ? Currently I’m treating

Clopidogrel and vision
Hi everyone I hope you are managing to stay cool in this heat. I am hoping to come off my Clopidogrel in September, which will be 12 months since CABG. Since I have been taking this my vision has definitely got worse. As a diabetic of 36 years I have to look after my eyes, but they have definitely deteriorated

4 weeks post quadruple cabg info please
Hi all I can’t believe it’s exactly 4 weeks ago at this exact time I went into what turned out to be a 7 hour operation for my quadruple bypass. I’ve got some 4 week post op questions if that’s ok and you have the time to read them and give me an answer please. First of all this week I’m feeling so

It’s not just Skin Cancer
‼ Once melanoma has spread to other parts of the body it is referred to as ‘metastatic melanoma’ at this stage it becomes very difficult to treat and prognosis is poor, so early detection, diagnosis and treatment is vital. As with all skin cancers, melanoma can often be seen on the skin, making it easier

Meds after spinal fusion
My fusion was 11 weeks ago and I still need an occasional dose of my prescription medication. I have heard that otc meds such as aleve and ibuprofen can interfere with bone grafting, so I have been avoiding them. Surgeon said the otc's were okay to take at this point but I would rather wait until I
