The effect of antiepileptic drugs on thyroid function in children
Interactions between everything to do with thyroid (hormones, tests, etc.) and medicines has often been discussed here. I remember some specific mentions of the impact of anti-epileptics. This is just another abstract which identifies that there are potentially very significant interactions between anti-epileptics

severe cramping in the stomach, unexplained fatigue, dizziness, problems with high altitudes, motion sickness. I think that the Sickle Cell Society should stop putting everyone in the box. They also need to update the information on people with Sickle Cell Trait. So much info on the disease and they

Has anyone experienced Muscle Atrophy after Transplant, Kidney or otherwise?
Nearly two years into kidney transplant, no rejection episodes but have watched my muscle dissolve away!! Wonder about immunosuppressant doses... Prednisolone 7.5mg, Mycophenolate 1440mg and 2mg Tacrolimus.

CAPD catheter belts and where to get them
Hi folks, New to the site but already finding it very helpful. I have just had my PD catheter fitted and will be starting my training in a few weeks. I have been advised that PD catheter belts/band are really handy but am struggling to find many suppliers. Can someone point me in the right direction

Stage 3 Chronic Kidney disease
I was diagnosed yesterday with Stage 3 Kidney Disease. I'm still reeling from the diagnosis. I also was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2011. I'm 60 yo and wonder why everything is suddenly going wrong after always being healthy. Any advice on diet and exercise would be helpful. Thank you

What are the Reasons of Renal Anemia
The symptom of renal anemia is so mild that patients may not feel it. Many patients think that having a good rest is enough when they have the symptoms of fatigue, dizziness, palpitation and shortness of breaths after activities because they do not have much knowledge of renal anemia.
