Can antihistamines help during an asthma flare up ?
Hi everyone! As I am still struggling to bring my asthma under control, I was wondering if antihistamines (desloratadine) could potentially ease the symptoms or stop an ongoing attack that has been lasting for hours if not days ? I am very concerned about my asthma right now because I am going through

Does sauna or steam room help asthma?
I have seasonal asthma which is worse when summer is hot and pollen is high. I’m interested to know if sauna or steam rooms help? My local gym has both and someone has recommended I try them.

Does anyone get asthma with high peak flow
I am getting asthma symptoms regularly. I have had asthma over 20 years and something has changed. I get asthma a lot more often now. Weird thing is woke up this morning coughing and wheezing. Took my peak flow and its really good. Thinking it might not be asthma or my asthma has changed as I get so

Apologies for the fact that I’m about to bore you but I just need to get some frustration off of my chest. I visited my GP today to get my Fostair changed to something different because I’m suffering with horrendous foot cramp, more so since doubling up. I also explained that I’m recovering from a

I’ve done separate ones for “

Rectovaginal and rectal endometriosis having hysterectomy in 8 days. They said I may wake with a colostomy bag??
So 14 months ago I had surgery, excision surgery. Four hours in operation. Rectovaginal, rectal, on side walls, and pelvic floor they found ‘superficial ‘ endometriosis. Had my tubes from kidney to bladder ( forget their name) moved as they had endometriosis on/around them. My uterus was noted as ‘bulky

Caught between consultants & GP
I was referred to royal Brompton cons' he suggested not all symptoms were asthma so had a challenge test - said I have hypersensitive airways (which I knew). Was then asked to have a Mannitol test - reacted to first dose, needing x3 nebilising to sort asthma attack out! Now stuck between cons' and local

Do you use any medical apps?
If you do and are willing to spare an hour of your time, there is currently a study going on looking at asthma apps, how we use them and what we want from them. I learned about this as am an Asthma UK volunteer, but I know the study is looking for more participants. Let me know if you are interested
