9dp5dt faint positive, worse than recieving a BFN or BFP. More limbo...
Went to the clinic for our official test this afternoon. Gave them a urine sample from this morning. She said we have a faint positive, which could mean a slow starter, could mean it's something that's not working out or could be ectopic. They've asked us to go back on Monday to retest. If I start bleeding

Just diagnosed - vasculitis GPA
Hi, I am so glad I've found this site as I am just at the start of my vasculitis journey and from what I read, seen and heard I will need all the help I can get. I suspect my immune system got triggered when I donated blood in August 2018 - I got really sick during the process. Nothing unusual, it happens

Hi, newbie here!
Hi everyone, I'm 31 and I just found out I have stage 4 CKD, egfr 29. It came as a bit of a shock! I had reduced kidney function a few years ago after getting vasculitis but last I knew it was back to normal and I never really worried about it. I wish now I'd paid more attention to what they considered

Reverse T3 interacts with αvβ3 integrin receptor and restores enzyme activities in the hippocampus of hypothyroid developing rats
Possibly time finally to stop regarding reverse T3 (rT3) as an inactive substance?
evidence that rT3 is an active TH metabolite
Of course, every paper is subject to review, criticism of methods and logic, and the results being replicated. [i]Mol Cell Endocrinol. 2018 Jul 15;470:281

Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia?
It seems like I’m always chasing An Answer haha I have recently been in hospital with sputum showing P. aeruginosa and S. aureus. Sputum sample #2 went missing, and I couldn’t produce a 3rd sample but my inflammatory markers — which I assume were raised when I was admitted — came down. I have only been

My Nasal Polyp story
Hi, I'd like to tell you my experience with nasal polyp's. I stupidly suffered with them for 5 years. Should have had them removed straight away but I didn't. Anyway after the 1st year with them, they came out by themselves over a period of 2 or 3 days. I was so relieved and happy and thought....that's

Miscroscopic blood in urine tests
Hello. Its been 8 years since my transplant . Recently, my nephrologist has pointed out to me last September that there has been constant traces of blood in the urine. He wanted me to get a CT scan but I was too afraid to go then until I realized that there has been blood for the past two years. No

Creatinine going down (1.45 to 1.35 in 10 days), but Potassium 5.5?
Hi all, Recently, during an initial blood check my Creatinine was 1.45 (GFR 64). After 10 days of keeping on top of the water (4l), reducing protein (from 180-200g to 50-70g) my Creatinine dropped to 1.35. I can see creatinine levels can depend on lifestyle, diet and physical activity. I am 25. I am

Kicking those lung buddies in the butt
Those who frequent this forum will probably have seen my posts but cliff notes: I’ve been treated for severe asthma for a while but doc thinks there’s something else adding to it as I’m atypical; things got worse again before Christmas and have been shaky since; had amoxicillin, co-amoxiclav, and doxycycline

EAU19 Barcelona – 15-19 March 2019 - Sentinel Scores.
We are 30 years into the PSA era. I was diagnosed half-way in - 15 years ago - & no-one seemed happy with the PSA/biopsy model back then. Laurence Klotz started writing about active surveillance [AS] at about that time, & has over 100 papers on the subject. He may have invented the term, although

Iodine test
Can anyone recommend the best test for iodine level? I note that 3 months ago, Humanbean suggested a (non-loading) urine test from Genova which costs £71 https://www.gdx.net/uk/product/urine-iodine. However, 2 months ago, another forum member stated that a naturopath had suggested a urine iodine test

Question: Saline On It’s Own via Nebuliser
If part of your self-treatment at home includes ‘saline-ony’ via a Nebuliser, please could you answer a few questions, below. Note: It’s Nebulised Saline - without any drugs / other stuff added - that I’m keen to learn about. 1. How many weeks, years you’ve been doing it? 2. What form / strength of Saline

Wanted: Medical sources on under-medicated hypothyroidism and pregnancy. Thank you.
UPDATE I have just learnt my results from 25 February were TSH 0.84 FT4 10.1 FT3 3.0 The Consultant provided no reference ranges, has no problem with my results and no intention of seeing me again. Given the usual reference ranges I have seen with prior tests, I am devastated. If

Connective tissue
I've been going to rheumatology since 2005 for SLE checks, blood and urine tests, the usual. The last time I was there the doctor asked if I'd like to go to their connective tissue clinic, its in the same dep at the same hospital. I just said ok not knowing much about the subject or why he asked... I've

Anyone Tried the Omron Nebuliser?
My local Boots are flogging an Omron Nebuliser at a decent discount sale price. Been thinking for a while that I ought to have a Nebuliser at home (just in case I hit a bad patch that takes more to cope with than inhalers and Oral Steroids which are all I currently keep at hand). Wondered if anyone
