Hypothyroidism Prevalence in the United States: A Retrospective Study Combining NHANES and Claims Data, 2009–2019
This USA paper discusses prevalence of hypothyroidism in the USA. And comes up with 11.7% in 2019. That same year, the NICE guidelines said "about 2%" for the UK. An astonishing difference. Is the USA figure ludicrously high? Or the UK figure improbably low? Or is there such a large real

So This morning I found out that it was another chemical pregnancy. have had 5 IVF cycles, 7 embryos transferred all top quality but one early miscarriage and 2 chemical. My clinic don’t test progesterone and don’t offer any further testing, apart from blood clotting and thyroid which all came back

Not reacting well to T3
Hello All, I wonder if there are people here who have not reacted well to T3? This is the second time I'm trying to take it. First time, it was about 5 years ago when I needed to raise my T3, it was at 20% range. I took just 5mcg of compounded T3 as per my Doc advice and started to feel anxious,

What medication did you take for your FET?
My clinic is Spain is frustratingly bad at communication. We’re keen to do our FET on Nov before Christmas kicks in and air fares & hotels get ridiculously expensive. Please could you share what medication you were on pre-FET? I need to calm my mind in knowing that we’re ready to go when they are eventually

Any Advice On Dosing NDT?
I've started Armour thyroid. My first dose I take at 7.30am (on waking) and have breakfast 9-9.30am (a late breakfast because I benefit from doing a 14 hour intermittent fasting window). My doctor advises I take my second dose of NDT 2-3pm. But if I need to have an empty stomach when I take the

Reliable Thyroid S suppliers please.
As per rules please only message by chat. I'm wanting to try NDT my current T4 +T3 regime isn't working and my suppressed TSH causes stress with GP and Endo. Thanks in advance.

NDT, atrial fibrillation, and a self-proclaimed 'thyroid guru' in hospital pushing the T4 and TSH narrative
Whilst I was an inpatient with atrial fibrillation, and had spiked a high T3 reading and caused panic in the heart unit about my use of Natural Dessicated Pork Thyroid (NDT) medication (prescribed by my GP who was on holidays), to reassure my cardiologist (who really cared) I agreed to see a consultant

Hey my lovely ladies , hope you are all well. I can't believe I'm writing this again seriously. So as you know I had my first beta positive, 2nd beta was fine. Yesterday I was meant to be 5+ 2 and I had an appointment for a scan. Doc performed the scan and we saw this beautiful nice sac with

Body identical oestrogen
Hi, could someone tell me the names of body identical HRT oestrogen? I need to go on a low dose oestrogen (patch or gel?) but I'd like it to be body identical as I also need to go on a body identical progesterone which I know it's called Utrogestan. Thank you!

functional Doctor
For the last year I have had ongoing health issues. A burst ulcer, constant chest infections, and most recently a TIA and atrial afibulation. My GP says none of it is connected to my Hashimoto’s . I have been self medicating with NDT for a number of years very successfully with no problems. I was paying

IVF when on NDT/Armour
Hi all, I'm considering starting another IVF cycle but i'm now on NDT/Armour Thyroid. I've got Hashimoto's. My TSH needs to be 0.38-2.5 for me to start treatment, but my last bloods showed my TSH as under 0.38 because of the T3 i'm on. I'm going to ask my thyroid doc to write a letter to my clinic

A (failed?) attempt to stop thyroid medicines.
Hi, everyone. Sorry for the long post... I've been on thyroid hormone replacement since almost 4 years. I started euthyrox on the advice of my gp when my TSH was 2.89 (0.27-4.20). My antibodies were also slightly elevated (TPO: 112 [0-34]) and they remain on this range until today. Back then I was

Progesterone
Hello! I am attempting to get all my ducks in a row to improve thyroid medication tolerance 🦆 Does anyone have any insight about progesterone? My blood levels are extremely low (6), I have PCOS and I’m profoundly hypo atm (TSH 10) as I can’t tolerate thyroid hormone, so I think it would be a good

6dp5dt feeling nervous for test day!
Im acting as a surrogate for a couple, we had one failed FET back in May 2022, i was doubtful when they did the transfer as my lining was only 7.1mm and my progesterone wasnt checked everything just felt rushed and looking back i wish we had cancelled the cycle and adjusted our meds. This time round

Has anyone had their symptoms increase around the half way mark during the IVF tww and it was just the progesterone?
Has anyone had their symptoms increase around the half way mark during the IVF tww and it was just the progesterone? I woke up with more symptoms this morning and obviously could be progesterone. This wait is driving me mad.

Is Vitamin C ok to take with my other meds?
Hi I would like to start on collagen for my bones and my ageing skin. But most seem to contain Vitamin C. I have it in my head that I shouldn't take vitamin C for some reason but I don't know why. I currently take: ERFA Levo Lenzetto and micronised progesterone (HRT) Calcium Iron B Vits Fish
